I've been experimenting with a traditional recipe for improving the flavour and nutrition of vegetables and I think I've cracked it.⠀ ⠀ You feed them to a cow.⠀ ⠀ The cow, through the patient application of four stomachs and roughly ten thousand years of evolutionary refinement, takes the carrots, the cabbage, the kale stalks, the broccoli stems nobody wanted, the oxalates that were coming for your kidneys, and the fibrous tonnage your gut was never designed to process, and quietly sorts the lot out in a field.⠀ ⠀ Several months of this and the cow hands back a version of those vegetables that is bioavailable, nutrient-dense, and, crucially, delicious.⠀ ⠀ The cabbage becomes ribeye. The carrots become brisket. The kale becomes the fat around a kidney that tastes like the field it came from.⠀ ⠀ No blender. No soaking. No activated anything. No twenty-ingredient dressing to make it palatable. Just a ruminant doing the job it was built for.⠀ ⠀ I've started calling it fermentation. The cow has not been informed.

Unfortunately, when you ride, you have to ride like you are invisible. Negligence, incompetence, vision impairment, mental distraction are all huge factors and when your visual cross section is a fraction of a car (which is all mostly drivers are looking for), as they say, no one is coming to save you.

Harvey's Pistol & Pawn@harveyspistols

Howdy friends! I've been seeing @TheRascallion moseying around the shop in a 25 gallon hat and I just knew this week would be a wheel gun. Rascal has, for this week's giveaway, a @Ruger_Firearms Vaquero 5.5" in the venerable .45colt chambering! I thought it would be fun to throw in a signed copy of @braxton_mccoy 's The Glass Factory for good measure as I know Mr. McCoy appreciates a good hat himself. Out of his own pocket we also have Mr. A-10 himself, @DaleStarkA10 , offering up one of his highly desirable Heavy Duty Stitched Gun Belts! The winner will get sizing to Dale so you can have a piece of high quality leather that works for you! Lastly, our good friends @SummRidge continue to help bear some of the cost of the giveaways (WHICH IS A HUGE HELP) so remember to give the the proper howdy and thanks to these fine folks! To enter this one please be FOLLOWING us, @SummRidge , and @DaleStarkA10 (if you are not already for some reason 😉), REPOST or QUOTE POST, and REPLY! GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

Absolutely everyone is getting Hormuz wrong and over a year into this administration the SHIPs for 🇺🇸 Act is far from passing. Should I retardmaxx some ocean? The real problem behind Hormuz, U.S. shipbuilding delays, and the Royal Navy not being able to deploy even one warship is this: We have hundreds of NATO admirals, thousands of military reporters, and an army of think tank experts who haven’t been to sea in years (some decades, if ever). They don’t have a visceral feel for the ocean anymore, just distant memories from their junior officer days. The dropping of the Artemis Capsule reminded me we need leaders with recent ocean experience because getting battered by waves gives you clarity of purpose, reminds you what is at stake. Biggest naval conference in the world starts on the 20th in DC, but I’m in California and agitated and frustrated by Hormuz and shipbuilding delays. I’m not a guy who can bite my tongue and pretend everything is peaches. Nothing clears the mind and sharpens like a solo ocean voyage. Shouldn’t at least one person at the conference have some fresh salt on his beard? Follower survey. Vote now: 1.Go home, rest up for the Navy League expo in DC 2.Screw the expo, go ocean sailing on my yacht, file Hormuz updates and videos to subscribers via Starlink 3.Both. Sail Monday, fly to DC Friday, arrive broken Here’s the call I’m making by tomorrow. Monday is a weather window. My router (USCGA grad, the best in the world) cleared it and said: get ready for black and blues. Sloppy seas. Awesome and terrible at the same time. The yacht is in San Luis Obispo. To move her I sail past Diablo Canyon, around the Vandenberg Space Force Base launch zones, and past the dreaded Point Conception to SoCal. No crew (she was designed for singlehanded sailing). Loose cutlass bearing, no haul-out options on the central coast, so the only way out is through. No time to run north, which means parking her for a few months until I can get back. ASK: Anyone with a spare slip to park her, between Santa Barbra and San Diego, please let me know. The other side of the call: April 20th is the biggest naval conference in the world. I should be rested up. I need ocean therapy, need to get her to a boat yard for haul out. I also need to do my job. But you guys are my audience. Vote above. Hull Type: Fin with rudder on skeg Rigging Type: Cat Ketch (unstayed) LOA: 43 ft Beam: 13.16 ft Displacement: 22,000.00 lb Built: 1980 Double handed might better. Any sailors who can drop everything and meet me Monday: DM your sailing resume or license. Subscribe if I don’t follow you. Legal: sailing offshore is dangerous and can result in injury or death. Anyone who joins does so as a volunteer at their own risk, assumes all liability, and agrees the captain and vessel owner are not responsible for loss, injury, or damage. Bring your own gear, tools for vessel inspection, your own insurance, food and solid own judgment.

It’s pretty cool how Israel is systemically annihilating Hezbollah. We should cheer it on because Hezbollah murdered Americans. If you support Hezbollah, you support the murder of Americans. Keep up the good work, Israel.

The "leave no man behind" doctrine is actually a strategic weakness disguised as a virtue. Name one other military on earth that destroys 6 aircraft and fights a ground battle inside a sovereign nation to recover one pilot. You can't. Because no other military confuses tactical sentimentality with strategic logic. Soldiers serve the mission. The mission doesn't serve the soldier. The US has now established that Iran can shoot down an F-15, then watch America spend $300M and expose Delta Force trying to prove it didn't happen. That's not military doctrine. That's politics with weapons. A military that cannot accept the risk of loss cannot win wars. The US hasn't won one since 1945.

Lose all this to rescue 1 pilot and call it your greatest military success of all time.
