The UK was totally cool with Iran controlling the Strait. When the US takes it over and stop Iran's ships, the UK gets angry. Weird, huh?

@VincentJCurtis1 @werdna300 @JamesTate121 No the exporter does NOT pay the tariffs. The importer does. Potash was discounted for the US by suppliers for shipping convenience prior to tariffs. Suppliers sold elsewhere this year.

What was meant to be a show of force has spiraled into a full-blown agricultural disaster. T.r.u.m.p’s latest potash tariffs were designed to pressure Canada, but instead they detonated inside America’s own farming heartland. In an emergency meeting at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a senior Trump adviser reportedly admitted the unthinkable: the policy had backfired so badly that American farmers may not survive the growing season. Canada wasted no time. As the world’s largest potash supplier, Ottawa redirected exports to Asia and Europe within days, locking in billion-dollar contracts and tightening its grip on the global fertilizer market. One Canadian official mocked the situation bluntly, saying that if the U.S. doesn’t want Canadian potash, the rest of the world gladly will. On the ground in Iowa, the consequences turned personal. A U.S. farmer broke down during a live interview, explaining that without Canadian potash, crops simply cannot be grown at scale. The result is stark: Canada posts record profits and cements its status as the undisputed “fertilizer king,” while the United States loses control of a critical supply chain at the worst possible moment of the planting season. Analysts are already calling this the worst trade failure of Trump’s year — a pressure tactic that ended up crushing the very people it claimed to defend.

Understand how many are offended by President Trump‘s cavalier use of religious imagery. Just remember, he exaggerates, instinctively every single time. He does not believe he is Jesus, at least I hope he doesn’t.

@EWErickson All the top golfers could have done this, why didn’t they. (Clue: They didn’t think of it) Less experienced golfers will be disadvantaged until they’re played more courses several times. Are we to complain about that too?

@RpsAgainstTrump Neither Trump nor Vance can be true Christians, else they wouldn’t have seen the “joke”, wouldn’t have posted the meme, and wouldn’t have defended it. Says a lot about them really.

@JamesTate121 Enjoy it while it lasts. But Sask potash is there to be sold for fertilizer. It's just a matter of pricing. If American farmers want it, they'll pay the tariff, or get Trump to lower it.

🚨DISGRACEFUL! JD Vance is now on Fox News saying that Trump's post of him as Jesus was a "joke," and he took it down because the American people "weren't understanding his humor." Wtf. JD Vance wraps himself in Catholicism like a cheap costume for votes and is selling out faith to protect Trump's narcissistic false messiah meme addiction. Insane.

@EPatGolf People seem to think practise beforehand is unfair, presumably to those that don’t. Is it also unfair to newcomers to play against experienced players? After all, they’ve played most if not all the courses many times in their careers, while the newcomers haven’t.

Great to catch up with my friend @JDVance today in DC following his talks in Pakistan. It is vital that the ceasefire continues and we get shipping flowing freely again through the Straits of Hormuz. We continue to work together towards a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

How did people not know this was Trump as a doctor? 1) There’s a hospital in the background 2) He has one of those lights the doctor sticks in your ear 3) He’s checking the patients fever 4) His nurse is below him 5) There’s a patient with 6 fingers 6) He’s wearing a doctors gown 7) Has a blanket on his shoulder to warm up the patient 8) Everyone’s looking up at him because they’re sitting in the chairs in the operating room

A lot of the conversation around Rory McIlroy's "unfair advantage", especially from golf media, is completely missing the point... There's no reason there shouldn't be a cap on the amount of times golfers can play Augusta the month prior to The Masters, whether they're past champs or not. This ensures there isn't a blatant competitive disparity. Yes, golfers that qualify for the tournament can access the course the month prior, but everyone can't skip three straight tournaments* & fly private whenever they want to Augusta. *Again, this encourages top golfers to skip tournaments, devaluing those tournaments for broadcast partners, patrons, & sponsors. For example, if the cap is 3-4 practice rounds at Augusta the month prior to the tournament, consider them like timeouts. Use them or lose them. Problem solved. Debate over. Past champions still get their well-deserved perks, but they don't get a blatant unfair advantage.

I am a practicing Catholic. Have been all my life, waaaayyyy over half a century. But I’ve had it with these damn popes getting political!! I couldn’t stand Pope Francis. 😤 We catholics are taught to believe that the pope is divinely chosen. That he is infallible. But I’m sorry, this one and the last one are hardly infallible. 😒 I had hopes for Leo but I had also heard that he was a liberal early on. Already, I can see he’s no better than Francis. Please, stop making Catholics feel like we have to choose. Because I’ll choose Jesus always, but you are NOT Jesus!! I will NOT change my stance on my president! I will support him, however, the one thing I CAN control? How much money I put in the kitty every week. 💰 And right now, I’m not putting ANY money in that’s intended for Rome. Until the holy father stays out of our politics, he gets not one. red. cent. from me! His job is to lead people to Christ like a shepherd, not to “pontificate” on @POTUS @DonaldTrump! @Pontifex
