@blueorigin It would be nice if you actually get to space. Crossing the arbitrary Carmen line does not really qualify as space. Get to orbit then the real work starts.

On today's flight, New Shepard will carry more than 40 scientific and research payloads to space, including 24 student payloads. This is the program's 35th mission, bringing the total number of science and research payloads flown on New Shepard to more than 200.

@SpaceInMiBrain @DJSnM It's a mixture between the 45th Weather squadron and SpaceX but mostly SpaceX who define the LCC. They define what's safe for their craft. Last night's scrub was because of an Anvil cloud which is from a thunderstorm. These can trigger lightning which poses a risk to the craft

@DJSnM Who sets the weather parameters? The FAA? SpaceX? The T-40 hold time was limited by propellant temp, etc - but since they knew the cloud wouldn't be gone quickly why didn't they put on a hold a few minutes earlier when the hoses were still connected?

I know a scrub disappoints so maybe some of SpaceX’s rocket engineers can install this before the next attempt?

It’s not a loaded question. If I tagged you I consider you an authority on this topic: [hypothetically] a new company is making a 3D printer. They go to Kickstarter. They advertise as “fully open source”… so much so they seem to get upset when people ask “are you open source”. They said they are the “leading open source company” etc. they truly are pumping this notion of being fully open source. Okay, so what is required to meet that claim “fully open source”? Let’s say they are using Klipper, Raspbian FW, etc. of course they are complying with the licenses for those projects. But there is zero intention or plan to release design or hardware files. No CAD, no STL’s etc. When I think of this I think of @josefprusa or @lulzbot3D while we can debate CAD files, at minimum release of the stl’s would be appropriate or no? Do they have to release anything aside from the FW source code? Any new ideas, or designs they have developed are not going to be put up. Are they “fully” open source company? Thanks in advance

@Andercot Pretty simple really, Blue Origin never achieved the speed needed to reach orbit they just went straight up and down like an elevator and never left our atmosphere. Blue Origin just went a little over 62 miles up. Spacex leaves our atmosphere and goes up to 870 miles up

Can any space nerds help me understand how the Blue Origin capsule came back down without any re-entry burns? Was this a trajectory thing or some kind of superior material used? Falcon crew capsule for comparison

Just have to laugh when I get emails that starts with "First off, big fan of your channel". I know that these emails are on a distro list. Most of the products are not tripod compatible, or Amazon rating boosts. Maybe I should start a series reviewing these types of products 😂

@tripodsgarage @Gweike_laser @PCBWayOfficial Yes, could not agree more. I have a camera always on my lasers and two fire extinguishers, one CO2 and one powder in the room with them. One close to the laser and one at the entrance door to the room. I like my family and want to keep them.

@joeltelling Waste? As in supports, failed prints, rafts and purge bits? If that is what they are referring to then they should know this also happens in plastic manufacturing plants. I would know I’ve worked at several over the coarse of a decade.

Like clockwork I get comments about 3d printing and waste, but not one YouTube comment backs it up with any data.
