@havok99 I wouldn't be too sure, many players currently playing only joined proper around T7. I think the numbers are of casuals, clip farmers, streamers, and pros... people either unbothered or unwilling to leave. One thing's for sure, new game gonna do some big numbers, as always.

@kyuda3D Except BNE is a company that doesn't have a successful live service model to reference for balance adjustments. They believe that as long as the numbers hold steadily, they can generate revenue off of MTX. They are a business, at the end of the day, and numbers matter to them.

@CapSilverFox This goes back to what the original tweet is implicating 'Game playercount doesn't drop, therefore BNE isn't incentivized to really change the game' I'm sure even a company as blind as BNE has developers who are meant to be looking at a picture bigger than that.

A lot of the surface level analysis on the current state of Tekken 8 Season 3's reception is not helping at all with the discourse around the game. If we could give more thought to throwing our takes out into Tekken twitter, it'd be better than whatever this is meant to be.

@CDDTReborn I beg to differ. While the vast majority is def casuals, the pros and content creators are a sizable part of the numbers here. A lot of them are bound by compulsion.. they don't play, they don't get paid, and if they criticize, they're cut off. They all want system-wide changes.

@CapSilverFox The reason nothing is changing is because those that hold the narrative the game is unplayable are the true minority. There are things ppl would like added or deleted but for most its on a few character matchups and they can 1nD, block, lab, skip ranked, play with friends etc.
