@HistorianUSA1 reasonable, letting em off easy. scumbag thieves don't know how much trouble it is to replace stolen property
English

This dad is going viral for a reason.
A 13-year-old girl stole his daughter’s $1,000 phone at school in Indiana. School finds it and IDs the thief. He heads straight to file felony charges, but gives the parents an out: pay for the replacement phone and he drops everything.
He’s not mad at the parents — he just wants real consequences so kids learn. Plus he lets his daughter carry the phone for safety and in case of an emergency.
What would YOU do? Did this dad handle it right — or should he seek full prosecution?

@stats_feed Zionism (and any similiar expansion by genocide)
Imperialism (destroying foreign nations/lives for profit, expansion, and strategic objectives)
Late-stage Capitalism (the extreme of exploiting humans for profit maximization)

@olasebotifeg @AsakyGRN @Ayomichaelxx Loyalty isn't always earned through everyday interactions, sometimes the stakes are so high you have to test them.
English

@AsakyGRN @Ayomichaelxx why does he need to test his loyalty tho? means he didn’t trust him.

- Le tiran hate por sus pósters
- Resulta que era una chica
- Se reduce la mayoría del hate

@jglover1199 @WallStreetApes most other developed countries are better about food than US, it's totally for maximizing profit.
English

@WallStreetApes If all of our food was naturally made with natural ingredients, millions would go hungry. The artificial stuff is shelf stable and keeps people alive long enough to die of cancer. Eat clean when you can, eat artificial if you have to.

American foods are cleverly changing their names because they no longer qualify as that legal food
- Pringles used to be potato chips, now they’re labeled as “potato crisps” per FDA rules
- McDonald’s Shakes are now called “shakes” (not legally milkshakes in some states)
- Klondike Bar is no longer a chocolate shell, it’s a Chocolatey shell (not real chocolate)
- Dairy Queen: All items are “treats” (no “ice cream” on the menu)
- Oreo changed the spelling to “creme” (alternative spelling, not real cream)
- Tyson changed spelling to “Wyngz” (It’s a processed chicken labeling trick)
- Costco Blueberry Bagels labels as Imitation blueberry bagels (no actual blueberries)
- Pearl Milling Company Syrup (formerly Aunt Jemima) Now ‘Original syrup’ not maple syrup. The first ingredients is corn syrup
Our food is a science experiment

I have been eating nothing but McDonald's Happy Meals for 6 months straight.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Here's the math: Right now every McDonald's Happy Meal comes with a pack of McDonald's Pokemon cards. These are special promo cards you can only get inside a Happy Meal.
A Happy Meal costs $5.99. The sealed McDonald's Pokemon card pack inside sells on eBay for $6.49.
I buy the Happy Meal. I eat the food. I sell the cards. I make $0.50 and eat for free. I do this 15 times a day.
I have not paid for food in 6 months. I make $7.50 a day for eating McDonald's.
People can laugh but this is the greatest financial arbitrage on earth right now.

@Rightanglenews they weren't done killing literacy rates, now they be killing free speech💀

@Salt_Slinger @mkadnk @ReznovRulz i dunno, it all comes down to that prediction. either way half the human race will survive at least so humans not going away.
English

@Chronopolize @mkadnk @ReznovRulz In a real world scenario, AT LEAST 70% of people are choosing red…most likely more. If you don’t understand that, then you don’t understand people. As for the people that don’t…it’s called Darwinism, and the species will thrive without those with no survival instinct whatsoever
English

Imagine thinking your IQ is 130 or above but not understanding how standard deviation works. 68% of the population votes blue here.
Mike Three@mikethree
English

@Salt_Slinger @mkadnk @ReznovRulz (I'm not saying there's anything wrong or illogical with picking red)
English

@Salt_Slinger @mkadnk @ReznovRulz yes so in a world where 51% picks red, the people who pick blue are the good children, good people, and people who predict that a lot of people will pick blue and want to save them. It would suck to live in a world with those people gone.
English

@ProctorZ The correct choice depends on what you predict other people will pick (including children, good but uneducated, and moral people), and that other like-minded intelligent people will make a similiar prediction.
Red is right if most are literal-logical, or self-serving.
English

@liberal_elite_ @Zhalir_ @discordspies logically it doesn't matter what the wording is, but the wording "if <50% red, then everyone who picked blue dies" impacts how many people pick blue.
English

@Zhalir_ @discordspies In the original tweet, they leave it vague as to which interpretation is correct, but heavily imply that the red button is the one that causes the deaths, not the blue one.
English

This is actually a good analogy and thinking they're pressing this red button is 99% of conservative politics.
Jason Boone@shadowe_wolfe
@TheCartoonLoon That's not even close to accurate.
English

@Zhalir_ @discordspies This problem is logically equivalent to the original, but the issue is the WORDING of the original matters. "If >50% pick red, then everyone who picked blue dies". And you don't know what other people are going to pick.
The right choice relies on predicting what other ppl pick
English

@discordspies It's actually more like this. Since in the original dilemma the only action that puts your life in the risky side is pressing the blue bottom. In your image the red bottom does not really guarantee survival imao.

English

@discordspies The tricky part is the presentation changes how people will pick blue/red. There's a number of logically equivalent analogies but none of them are identical to the original because the format of the original impacts what people will pick.
English

@fwmubi there's nothing strange with the act, it's just society has pushed away men from being caretakers/fathers so much that the wholesome love of children is seen with incredulity
English

@richardlcoxiv1 @amithearsehole excellent answer. this is her house as well. no owner should have to live uncomfortably in their house because of a guest.
English

Here’s what you tell your brother.
“When we close the bedroom door at night, the bathroom is off-limits until the next morning. If you need to take a leak piss in a Gatorade bottle and if you need to take a shit, take a drive down to McDonald’s. That’s the best I can do for you, bro.”
Busting your wife’s balls it’s not a good plan. You are a dumbass.
