The Backrooms movie is actually very good. Kane perfectly understood that the horror of the backrooms /is/ the postmodern world. Async corp being a random silicon valley startup before pivoting into exploring the hauntological sludge space is almost too on the nose.

What's hilarious, is that this sentiment is a modern development for TF2. Statements like this were practically never said before 2016. Back then, YouTube videos translated almost one for one to the gameplay experience. Then, something happened (gee, I can only wonder what), and the game became miserable to play. But, thanks to the power of editing, it's still fun to watch. You can cut out all of the bullshit that ruins the modern experience, and leave behind the quality nuggets of gameplay. Presently, from the outside in, nothing looks wrong with TF2, but when you actually try to play the game? Well, we can't talk about that...
