Claude Mellan's Face of Christ, also known as The Sudarium of Saint Veronica (1649), is one of the most technically extraordinary works in art history...
The entire portrait is rendered using a single, continuous spiralling line that begins at the tip of Christ's nose and expands outward to the edges of the cloth.
Mellan achieved the illusion of depth, shadow, and facial features without any cross-hatching or traditional shading. Instead, he precisely varied the thickness and pressure of the burin (his engraving tool) as he rotated the copper plate, creating "swelling" lines that darken the image where needed.
The spiralling line is estimated to be approximately 150m (about 500ft) long if it were stretched out.

This guy had his bike stolen and traced it down to a house. The bike’s been there for over 12 hours, but listen to how the police acted and the attitude! I love when red pill dudes complain about "all women only want the top 20% of men!" as if that's some kind of aberration or a moral failure of modern women. My brother in Christ, it's like that in every species. Always has been. That's literally the mechanism by which evolution by natural selection works. Just caught up on the Riot Games Vanguard drama. Yall cannot be serious right? The hate train against Riot's anticheat is obviously an attempt led by the cheaters to fool the masses into believing that Riot is 'bricking' consumer PCs. Most blatant form of public manipulation I've seen yet. They try to go the highground 'morality' route of how 'Riot shouldn't have control over consumer hardware' but that's not even remotely close to what Vanguard is and can do. It's disgusting how many people's falling for this false narrative. Do yall have brains? Wake tf up you are literally getting manipulated by the cheaters into putting public pressure on Riot so that they can have an easier time cheating in competitive games. For all their faults, the one good thing about Riot is that they have managed to keep the competitive integrities of their games up at a level far above industry standards, and they've managed to achieve that in the least obstructive way possible. Just 4 of the many projects that I can't complete.
I'm at my wits end with finding reliable people to put my trust in. Everyone wants the creator to be understanding, patient, nice and give leeway, but how much more does my time and patience need to be trampled upon before I hit my limit?
Years of projects that end up abandoned, incomplete and just a sour taste in my mouth.
I promised my community so many cool things and I've been trying for 2 years to honor my promises and I'm exhausted. I feel like I'm letting everyone down. But I genuinely cannot keep going or trying, I have had so many bad experiences with people in this industry.
I also love how I'm being blamed for not making contracts. Yet majority of people refuse to sign one or reveal their identity to people. This industry is rotten. I wish I knew how people vet others before involving them in projects. But from my experience, even well known artists end up disappointing (see neon's case).
The people I hired for the job were people with years of experience in the industry, known for working with corporations, meeting deadlines, with people vouching for them and their work and recommending them.
I haven't really been streaming or creating YT content because my mental is at an all time low. I was so excited for my lore video, for the 3.0, for the future. Now I'm just sad and tired.
I'll try and find a way to honor my promises to you breadpups, I just sadly need more time. I'm sorry.

Neither the Norway nor the UK (or Mexico afaik) requires you to leave the country when transitioning from a temporary to a permanent residency. If you are on a tourist visa or visa waiver equivalent, then sure - and I have no objection with the US enforcing the same thing. But the way this is phrased it says that if you are in the US after having applied and received a temporary resident visa (from abroad!), you then move to the US, you live her for years, then you want to transition to a green card you need to leave the country for an unknown amount of time. No other country that I’m aware of does that.
