uyghur issue isn’t talked about much here, so i’m learning about it. some dismiss it as western propaganda targeting china, while others share their experiences on sm. i want to understand the truth without personally attacking anyone and support those who are actually oppressed.

Honestly Jang Keun Suk didn’t really disappear because of one huge scandal the way many people assume A mix of things just slowly pushed him out of the center spotlight. Military service happened, newer actors took over the industry, some of his later dramas didn’t hit as hard, and he focused a lot more on Japan and fan activities instead of constantly chasing mainstream Kdrama success. Then later he also revealed he had been quietly battling thyroid cancer and even underwent surgery, which explained why he became even less active publicly for a while. Thankfully he recovered well. But people forget how INSANELY famous this man was back then 😭 He was literally one of the original Hallyu pretty-boy kings. During the You’re Beautiful/Love Rain era, Jang Keun Suk was EVERYWHERE. The Asia Prince title was not even an exaggeration at the time
