How is this standing up for democracy? A registered Republican in Virginia has no say and their votes don’t matter because of this redistricting. Another state of our Union turned Socialist Party will find out too late how they just fucked themselves. But I don’t understand why people, like Obama, backed this. This is far from the American way of democracy as we watch another state spiral into disaster. How many non-citizens, incapacitated, or deceased voted for this?

Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

What common-sense gaming opinion will piss off fanboys today? Maybe? It's not a great idea to spend $3.6 billion on a company, then another $200-250 mil on a game that only moves 1.2 mil units. And how that unsustainability is bad for the customer and industry as a whole.

@RedundantNeet @PaulTassi @Forbes As an American, I agree with you. What's interesting is that the original Harry Potter films were wholly American from the studio, director, composer, except the cast. It was close to perfect and didn't feel "American".

@PaulTassi @Forbes As a Brit the uncanny comes in because it feels weirdly American? I can't put my finger on it but some design choices and bits feel almost as if you were Watching LOTR and Frodo had a strong Boston accent.

@AaronMLong @PaulTassi I really love the look and the Bungie "feel" of gunplay but the extraction thing is off-putting to put it mildly. I think they could have created an extraction/looter shooter hybrid. Don't get attached to anything in your arsenal. 😒

@PaulTassi Well, I've got the answer for you: This game has no means to retain anyone except a tiny handful of degen sweatlords, who are themselves going to get bored when they game no longer furnishes them with a drip-feed of victims trying to extract.

Yeah this is the question. You can design content that is visually, mechanically and thematically interesting but if you're completely wiping out players' vaults rapidly you're looking at potentially fractional participation. When...you already need more players

@DaOneW @RebelSixShot @PaulTassi I almost did too man. First extraction shooter. Now I’m crushing it and hooked. Even told myself I wouldn’t buy it. It takes time. We’re trained in shooters from call of duty to borderlands, you just have to learn the pace. Don’t even need good guns

@RebelSixShot @PaulTassi I tried it. Liked the Bungie feel and guns. Hate that there's no way to ease into the game. You're thrown into the deep end. After 20 matches getting crushed with no way to train, I gave up.

@PaulTassi Marathon is for Try hards and that's why it's failing and will continue to fail. Because if there's anything that makes Try hards cry, it's playing against other Try Hards and that's why they all hate Skill Base Matchmaking. They want to go against casuals. Welp, too bad 😂😂😂🤣

@A_dmg04 Marathon could have been an "as well as" but is an "instead of". Destiny could have been the Star Wars or Marvel of the gaming universe. It should have been.

We have things to get in order on Destiny 2, but I'd like to take a moment to praise to friends and coworkers on Marathon. It's not every day your studio ships another game, and as a longtime Bungie fan outside of my career here... this is really special. The hard work done since the start, especially over the last year, has been a sight to behold. Highs and lows, it's been very much inspiring. From the perspective of a soon-to-be player in the live environment, it's been a delight. To talk about the blood, sweat, and tears would be an understatement. Heart and soul? There's been even more than that. The team has done so much to create and deliver what's about to land. The look, the feel, and the chaos... all combining to create something unique. Marathon Server Slam starts tomorrow. The moment my workday is done, Tau Ceti awaits. Can't wait to play with y'all. Much love. 💛

After 40 days as a consistent voice against shutting our government down, I voted YES for the 15th time to REOPEN. I’m sorry to our military, SNAP recipients, gov workers, and Capitol Police who haven’t been paid in weeks. It should’ve never come to this. This was a failure.

@jcmlink @PaulTassi I would agree 100% but they bake FOMO into the cake. Everything is designed around trying to maximize playtime 7/365. For instance in Solstice only the no life players were able to gets the best rolls and now *poof*, they're gone.

@PaulTassi This may be an unpopular opinion, but the rush to devour the content so quickly probably hurts the perception a bit. I literally just finished the campaign and working on side quests. Did trials last weekend. I don't want time gating but maybe slowing down a bit might be good.
