REPORT: Last night, Sammie Lee of Longview, Texas, was attacked by individuals she says were Karmelo Anthony supporters while out having drinks at Whiskey J’s. According to Sammie, nothing happened inside the bar. However, while walking back to her vehicle to head home, she was jumped by multiple girls she had never met or seen before. Sammie says that while she was being beaten, the girls were yelling “Free Karmelo” and stating that they were going to target “the smallest white girl they could find.” Sammie’s injuries include a black eye and staples in her head. - More photos in thread -

@AaronGogley @douglassmackey clearly he didn't since he had a court appointed lawyer and is now begging for money for an appeal while his family is sitting in a $900K house and riding around in a new niqqermobile.

We should not assume that Karmelo Anthony’s defense attorneys did a bad job. We don’t know what advice they gave to the family and if that family followed the advice. We don’t know if they advised the family to take a plea. As far as we know the defense actually did a good job. The defense may have restrained the family from doing more damage than was already done which could have landed Karmelo an even worse sentence. Calling more witnesses could have inflamed the jury. Putting Karmelo on the witness stand could have inflamed the jury. Turning the trial into a ghetto clown show might have landed Karmelo 99 years. Karmelo getting 35 years for murder is actually a pretty good outcome when you consider the family is a total disaster and could have screwed things up a lot worse.

The jury has been deliberating Karmelo Anthony's sentence for more than an hour. He faces 5-99 years in prison. But defense attorneys are asking the jury to consider sudden passion. It's a factor that can lower the sentencing range from 2 to 20 years if they decide that the murder was provoked by the victim.

Verdict - Guilty. I am still inside the courthouse. We are currently waiting on the jury to finish deliberating on sentencing. After sentencing will be the victim impact statements. I will update everyone when I leave for the day. I just wanted everyone to know that we are safe.
