I appreciate the positivity. But I don’t believe BGT’s reputation is just bad among the thoosie community…or a couple negative online personalities. The ride downtime and poor operations are well known to the general public too. My opinion is they need to fix their controllables before even considering adding anything else. This is the spot where I would normally say, “But I guess they know more than I do about operating theme parks.” But we are talking about “United.” Sorry if you only want “happy comments” on your post moving forward. I’ll avoid giving an opinion when there is nothing nice to say…👍 Love your content either way…

Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever spoken to? Not “seen from far away” — actually talked to, even for a minute. A quick hello, a handshake, a normal conversation… and you still remember it. Who was it?

Nevada casinos don’t play. “Prediction markets” are gambling, plain and simple. You don’t get to sidestep regulation, accountability and taxes with clever branding or terminology.

It sucks as much as it used to, it’s just more expensive now. That “filter” is as wide as the Atlantic. They’re still fighting on the sidewalks under the Vegas lights. They’re grilling sausage on consumer grills right by the fountains. Some bum in a dirty Kermit the Frog suit pinched my ass Saturday downtown.

“$47 pizza” isn’t a scam… it’s a filter. Vegas learned the hard way what happens when it’s cheap + chaotic. Fights, TikTok circus energy, nonstop complaints — the normal spenders disappeared. If your first instinct is to rage about the price… you might be who it’s filtering out.
Wall Street Apes@WallStreetApes

Las Vegas is an absolute scam American shows what it costs to order a pizza at the MGM Grand Just a basic cheese pizza is over $47 dollars and the pieces go up from there This is theft

Sincere question: if jet fuel prices triple is there a chance airlines rescind tickets already sold for later in the year at a cheap price?

@BFW @Blutman27 I live in Vegas. I don’t even like hockey. The Knight’s are 10 times bigger than the Raiders. They’re the biggest entertainment entity in Las Vegas right now, except maybe The Sphere. Nobody cares about the Raiders. Half of the fans cheer the visitors.

I need examples of a US city with at least three pro sports teams where the NHL team is top two in fandom in the city. Boys here said Detroit, DC and Tampa. I think I’ll give them DC and Tampa, but contest Detroit. Some guys said Minnesota, I think Twins are bigger than Wild.

If there is an 8+ hour hold time to talk to a person… I’m going to assume that the line at the airport is equally ridiculous. Given that this is an airline that apparently keeps you on the tarmac for four hours… I think it’s safe to assume that contacting them would be a fruitless endeavor. There really is no good answer now that we live in a low trust society… With airlines being the pinnacle example of low trust.

Hey @AlaskaAir you dropped the ball and couldn’t get us to Tokyo on the flights we booked months ago. We scrambled to find an airline who could, last minute, at a cost of 10K one way. Now we’re in Tokyo and find out you cancelled our return flight because we missed the flight out here (because you held us on the tarmac for 4 hours and we watched our flight depart without us). Now the hold times to reach a customer service agent are consistently 8+ hours. How does someone reach a human at your company?

Vegas restaurants, I have an idea for you: Holding people with reservations by the hostess stand for arbitrarily long periods of time, when the restaurant is obviously half-empty, needs to end. You think you're creating exclusivity with an invisible velvet rope. You think the anticipation of being allowed to your table improves the experience. You think people who visit Vegas (or like me, live here) are accustomed to this. You are wrong. This isn't the fault of the hostess, this is a Management problem. When Management prioritizes the vanity of the restaurant over the customer's experience, the entire experience suffers. Humiliations are dressed up as ambiance. Barry's is notorious for this. Carbone? Ditto. Gymkhana, hi welcome to town. Even Bazaar Meat did this to me recently. Your restaurant was more than half empty. What on earth were you waiting for to seat our party? Moses?! In Vegas, this isn't just a restaurant problem. The Strip was built on hospitality, and when restaurants forget that, the whole city loses something. Want the old Vegas back? Stop chasing clout and start respecting your customers. Real exclusivity is making every guest feel like the only guest. @EatTalkRepeat

It seems pretty undeniable that people in their 30s/40s today look way younger than people the same age did even 20 years ago. Why is this happening, is it just better cosmetic treatments? What are the second order social effects?

Misrepresenting the “conservative position” (#1) to virtue signal how “centrist” (#2) you are…is the mark of a liberal. I have no clue who Tom Nelson is. But in the spirit of discussion and distancing from ad hominem…I would love to hear why Tom’s views are not consistent with the coveted “centrist” label… The link he provided illustrates someone who took time to educate themselves on climate change.

From @rationalhumanis in the replies: "I love it when libs admit a conservative position was right, but feel the need to preface the admission with a disclaimer that they're not one of the "bad ones". And of course, the "bad ones" were the ones who were right way before everyone else and thus are "knuckle-dragging""

This is precisely why all Guardians fans hate the Dolans. The Tigers are also a Midwest small market team and they spent $180 million on free agents this offseason. The Guards spent just $8 million. Not a typo. Don’t let the Dolans lie to you. It’s not the small market.
