Was their ‘pre-planned experiment’ on a mini nuke? Odd place to conduct such an ‘experiment’ considering there were people all around…

@WatcherGuru There are plenty of ideas on how to deal with cancer. If "AI" is announced to have found a cure, it will most likely already have been discovered by people adding/removing items from their diets or trying alternative medicines/treatments not pushed by big pharma.

@TheMarcitect That's quite a fantastical viewpoint. As long as humans exist, and are not mentally deranged, we will never become obsolete. If AI is successful in creating its own system, humans will have no desire to participate in it. Humans crave social interaction with their own kind.

AI needs human assistance to build it's infrastructure and that's exactly what's happening with the data centers. But once we cross a threshold where this is no longer the case and machines become self replicating we will become obsolete and that's when it's over.

@MarioNawfal I see a bunch of easily controlled youth here. They must endure human pet status until the management class who have created this little experiment are replaced. Perhaps the new group will do something to restore a more humane existence. But I doubt it.

I was going to take one of those Waymo driverless cars tonight in Miami and it was $15.00 for my ride. Uber, for the same ride, was $6.94. How does that make sense at all? Isn’t it supposed to be cheaper because you’re not paying a driver?
