I’m only 57 but I remember a time when you didn’t even know what political party your friends and neighbors were. We were all just Americans and we were mostly united. What happened?

If you have time, see link below. In short: everyone votes -> children vote blue -> parents vote blue -> people who want to save those parents vote blue -> blue most likely at 30-49% -> rational self-interested voters vote blue at this point to avoid potential civilzational collapse. The risk-reward, after you play out the game-theory, shows that blue becomes more stable and rational, than red. Red is net more unstable, the more you reason about it. But blue votes are not susceptible to changing their vote, if kids are on the line. Game theoretic domino effect in favor of blue. x.com/jonathanbylos/…

i don’t understand why anybody would choose the red button. asking genuinely, if you chose it - why? if 50%+ choose blue, everyone lives. if less than 50% choose red, only those who chose red live. why are you willing to sacrifice half of those people?

Everyone is tasked with pressing either a red or blue button. If you press red you will live, but it will activate a death machine that kills blue button pushers. If you press blue, you will be killed by the death machine unless the majority also presses blue. What do you press?

It's almost like the death machine doesn't get activated as long as most people do not activate the death machine. I think it's easier to ask most people to just simply not activate the death machine vs ask everyone to move out of the way but maybe im just crazeh

In case you were looking for evidence that the majority of people on this app are actually fucking retarded… The original question was. If everyone on earth had to choose to push a red or blue button, where everyone who pushed the red button were guaranteed to lived and anyone who pushed the blue button needed at least 50% of humanity to push it for them to live… WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF COMMENTS OF PEOPLE SAYING YOU SHOULD PUSH THE BLUE BUTTON. Yall are fucking retarded.

RE: Red button vs blue button. Change the percentage from 50% to 99%. If 99% of the people press blue, then everyone is saved. If you press red you are saved no matter what. See how that affects your personal decision and the outcome of the poll.

Im genuinely wondering why would anyone even press blue in the first place 😭 🔴 = 100% chance of getting nothing 🔵 = 50% chance of getting nothing / 50% chance of losing something Why would you bet on negative ?
MrBeast@MrBeast

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@MassiveNigga @ThingBeak @ViktorVolk66982 @AncapPigARLZ do note that in this scenario you will have babies, toddlers, infants that accidentally walk underneath the crusher and parents who want to save their children as well as other adults who want to save their siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, etc

You are in a room with 99 other people, and an industrial people crushing machine Everyone must secretly choose whether or not to get under the crusher. If more than fifty people are under the crusher, it will malfunction and break, killing no one Do you get under the crusher?

Huh, wasn't expecting this post to get as much traction as it did. I think it's important to point out that regardless of blue always getting the majority in these polls, red can never "lose" regardless of how the vote goes. In my opinion however, what this poll really demonstrates is how democracy breeds authoritarianism via collectivist ideologies that leverage the altruistic tendencies of people by goading them into ignoring basic logic and reason in favor of emotion and the collective to "survive", which is ultimately used to justify the erosion and removal of individual rights and freedoms.
