@RealCJ10 I am a HUGE UGA fan, but their behavior and uniform was an embarrassment to the game. Coastal and Duke are two teams I am pulling for.

Spent quite a bit of time watching college baseball this weekend. I will only watch a select few teams from here on out. Reason? They have coaches that respect the game and their opponents and demand the same of their players. Any team that doesn’t wear the uni correctly, taunts the other team, and has a coach that condones this behavior, is a disgrace to the game. Big fan of coach Schnall at Coastal Carolina! Him and his team represent what college baseball should be like. Well done, sir! U stand for proper behavior.

@spann I am non political as well. I know what the intent was in changing the name. Being the gulf of “Mexico” or the gulf of the “United States” seems too much since it is in North America. Gulf of America technically is more inclusive.

"THE GULF":Attached to this post is a current satellite image of the "Gulf". Impressive view of towering thunderstorms. As we approach the beginning of the hurricane season (June 1), we will have to refer to the "Gulf" often. Thankfully, most of us around here just call it "the Gulf". Unfortunately, if we go beyond that it has now become political. I guarantee you I will slip from time to time and call it the "Gulf of Mexico". Understand I have been in this business for 47 years, and it has always been called that. Habits are hard to break. If that happens, please consider some grace and not spew vitriol. And, all of the NWS maps (including graphics from the National Hurricane Center) now call it the "Gulf of America". These maps will be posted on regular basis. Same request. Can we hold off on the anger and rage? You can see why I have no interest in politics. Seems like a decent percentage of people in the country have been turned into mindless lemmings (both left wing and right wing) that can't think for themselves, and are ready to hurl very harsh verbal attacks on any person that just might have a different opinion. Please consider kindness before attacking meteorologists for words or graphics that describe "the Gulf". We are just trying to forecast the weather and tell you when dangerous storms are coming. Thank you.
