@WinC_Gaming Either she announces full exclusivity for Xbox 1dt party stuff, or else, cancel hardware altogether.
Half measure stuff and mixed messaging à la Phil Spencer won't work anymore.

Jez took a hard look at where Xbox is heading and what the future of exclusives might actually be.
After watching Microsoft’s moves and talking to people across the industry, there are real clues about what happens next for Halo, the platform strategy, and how Xbox wants to grow🔗⤵️

@JezCorden Why? Because Xbox fans who jumped ship felt burned by the full 3rd party move Xbox made.
If Satya had accepted the status quo (big 3 exclusive), most Xbox players would have accepted the 3rd party push for the rest.
Now, Xbox will have to double down on exclusivity...

@JezCorden Now that they've added core Xbox titles to Playstation, to "fix it," they'll need way more than just stopping future ports of Forza, Gears, Halo, and Fable.
NOW they'll need to reassess even more exclusivity for Bethesda titles and possibly ABK for Xbox than before.

Let's predict: Will Xbox return to "exclusive" games? Will Halo etc. continue to hit PlayStation?
READ: windowscentral.com/gaming/xbox/le… 👇
"There's an argument to be made that if Xbox isn't finding new users from the Gen-Z and Alpha cohorts due to Roblox, etc, then it needs to find new money elsewhere, i.e. on PlayStation. But I find that to be reductive. If there's an industry problem all up with console, I don't see why putting games on PlayStation is doing anything other than accelerating the identified problem.
But again, it's a real dilemma ultimately. Microsoft has pushed themselves into a corner by leaning into these trends, and it makes you wonder if its studios can even get the investment they need without PlayStation's install base now."

@Ridzilla Make exclusive games for Xbox and Windows, we need the Xbox ecosystem to be strong.
We don't want to feel like its existence is threatened.
We don't want to have to go to Steam or PlayStation, but we need exclusive games so that it stays strong in the face of competition!
English

@AmericanTimdog Exclusive games: 12 months before hitting Game Pass.
Multiplatform games: Day One Game Pass.
I admit I prefer exclusivity over Game Pass anytime, any day.
English

Yeah it’s a careful situation. I’m usually good at solutions but I dunno. They have to have exclusives I think that’s paramount but how do you balance it.
To me I might rip the bandaide off and cut day one and make it 16.99
That’s my solution

@AmericanTimdog But if Asha wants to keep players happy, she's not going to eliminate day 1 Game Pass.

@ramonsilva6111 @FilhoDoZe_ @SrLinguicaVIVE I could've understood it if they went fully multiplatform and still wanted an incentive for Xbox players to get their hardware.
With exclusive games? Yeah, Xbox better keep the console closed.
English

@FilhoDoZe_ @SrLinguicaVIVE Good, and not a problem, only if Xbox keeps exclusive content in its own store.
A closed ecosystem but no exclusivity and no third-party stores? No point at all.
English

@TheBigPlume This nigga defended "This is an Xbox" tooth and nail and now says "just buy an Xbox".

@atlas_dbz We need a younger Ganon for the next game.. maybe a teenage Ganon

@DankLordNeato @Eldonchorizo_ Blasphemy!! How dare you mock our prophet Iwata, the temple of the switch 2 has been defiled.
Beg forgiveness and our merciful God Mario shall forgive you. 😇
English

Switch 2 not having an emulator has got these folks in shambles. This is like the 10th post I see them begging for Nintendo games on Steam. Crazy timeline we are in.
Folks Remember Exclusives matter. They sell consoles and keep your favorite brand thriving.
Alex@OhNoItsAlexx
Yeah, imagine all the games PC gamers would buy instead of emulate if Nintendo just put their games onto Steam
English

@stupidcrapface @IGN Then they'll need to close the hardware shop.
They don't need ALL their 1st party games to be exclusive but what shall be exclusive needs to be fully exclusive, no temporary (excuse me for the word) BULLSHIT.
English

@GMoney6531 @IGN 100%! They could make 2 types of 1st party games, one for day one multiplatform and one for full exclusivity.
But that temporary shit? Nah, that will not cut it. It'll damage the brand further and haters are going to hate waiting.
It's full exclusivity (Xbox + PC) or nothing.
