We all have our broadcasting heries, and my friend @thejameswhale is one of mine. When I first started at LBC I would come on air, as he finished his drivetime show. He lives about 18 miles from me in Kent, so yesterday I popped over to see him and his wife Nadine for a couple of hours. Tragically, he has a terminal cancer diagnosis, but he is still broadcasting and it was fantastic to see him, share some memories and talk about the state of our industry. James is a real one-off and I think it is true to say that he is one of the great broadcasters of our age. He is totally fearless and retains that well known wicked sense of humour.
