Kpler data shows the Malawi flagged tanker Rich Starry departed Sharjah in the UAE fully loaded, turned back yesterday, and resumed its voyage today. It is now in the Gulf of Oman en route to China. The vessel has successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz. Because it originated from a UAE port, it was not subject to Washington’s blockade.

Some very stupid people are saying "when does the war start again?" by this I think they mean bombing campaign? There is nothing more extreme than a blockade of a country. 90% of Iran's economy, import and export, food, energy etc comes through their ports. This is the most extreme version of war, it might not be flashy, but this is as tough as you can get. This is how you force terms. You install a blockade and wait them out. There is a few weeks of targets left to do from the air, but for the most part the US/Israel think they've done enough damage to their military infrastructure and capabilities that can be done from the air. They are either going to surrender to our terms or be completely wrecked.

Bush and its carrier strike group are currently off the coast of Namibia as they take the long route to avoid the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. If the American CSG is afraid to pass through the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait and risk being targeted by the Houthis, what kind of security can possibly be provided to cargo ships? The Houthis’ equipment is of Iranian origin, but inferior to what Iran itself uses. Following this reasoning, how does this force intend to enter the Strait of Hormuz, which is infinitely more challenging? Illustrative video
