Health benefits related to circumcision are acknowledged because they have been proven by research. This opinion is about bodily autonomy. Young boys deserve the chance to grow up, read about those benefits, analyse them, weigh the effects, and make the best choice for their own bodies. If services are accessible, they can choose them willingly. If the concern is about hygiene, please address personal care. Let us not compare circumcision to reversible choices or matters of identity. This procedure is irreversible.

One of the most foolish things about women is a lack of long-term thinking and awareness of consequences. You are actually placing the power of relationships, marriages and reproduction into the hands of men. Women have menopause, but men do not. Men will now be able to continue taking birth control until they are ready to have children, while women will be forced to rely on men’s decisions and approval in order to conceive. Men can continue taking it until they die or whenever they are ready to have children, and we all know men often prefer to wait until their late 30 after making it. Men would gladly welcome it, as it could reduce paternity fraud, baby trapping, and being pressured into marriage. It would allow them to make reproductive decisions on their own terms, and they would have greater control over reproduction. Dumb idiots.

i'd rather Kasese remain a steadily growing municipality with increasing investments and opportunities than be elevated to a "city" in name only where the only real outcome is a heavier tax burden on residents with little to show for it the truth is, most of the newly created cities have yet to demonstrate meaningful growth, improved services, or tangible development there's nothing admirable about city status if it isn't backed by real progress instead of chasing the prestige of "city status," let's first fight for a referral hospital, better schools, a public university, proper civic amenities, and stronger economic opportunities let's fight for things that actually transform Kasese we need agro-processing factories to add value to our produce and create jobs we must resolve the constant land conflicts that hold back development we should fully exploit our mineral reserves responsibly and restore the railway line, whether as a functional mgr or sgr, so that goods and people can move cheaply and efficiently we should push to elevate the Nyakasanga aerodrome into a true regional airport that connects Kasese directly to Goma, Lubumbashi, Juba, Kigali, Eldoret, Entebbe, and beyond that is how you plug Kasese into the regional economy and above all, let's tackle our flooding crisis once and for all on the Nyamwamba, Nyamugasani, and Mubuku rivers because no investor, no farmer, no family can thrive when every heavy rain threatens to wash away homes, crops, schools, and roads city status without those things is a fake badge of honor

meet the Pearl Model (11M-translate) — a Transformer-based neural machine translation (NMT) model built from scratch it's designed to translate from English to Luganda, trained on roughly 11 million parameters current BLEU score: 27.90 — higher than any model i've seen either custom or fine-tuned for this language pair plenty of room to improve (it's handcrafted, after all), and that's exactly what i'm working on next model: huggingface.co/kambale/pearl-… dataset: huggingface.co/datasets/kamba…
