I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation and congratulations to the Marines of VMFA-314, the Black Knights, flying the F-35 Lightning II, for their exceptional performance during combat missions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln in support of Operation Epic Fury. I had the privilege of commanding this squadron aboard the Lincoln in 1993 and 1994.
