@maddierune The way i see it is something like this, simple mechanics,we have a functional desire even tho we might not be romantically interested in the tool. The same way a woman might get a plumber for some work but would never date one.

Genuine question & I want people to actually think about this…and I’m not trying to start an outrage, I’m just a woman who notices patterns. Why do so many men feel comfortable being LOUDLY judgmental about women in sex work when statistically, THEY are the primary consumers of it? Every man I’ve ever met has had some version of: I would never date a pornstar, OF girl, or stripper…and okay, that’s valid, that’s your personal choice & your life…I do not care who anyone chooses to marry. And you do not have to respect her profession. BUT…you’re watching, you’re paying, you’re subscribing…statistically, 85% of you have at some point in your life…and then you go out in public (online too) & act disgusted by her existence? That’s not preference, that’s not a standard, that’s just projection. Because you’re not necessarily disgusted by HER, you’re disgusted by the part of yourself that keeps coming back. She didn’t create the demand…you are the demand & deep down you know that. So, the question was never really: how could a woman do that? The real question is: why is it so easy to shame the supply & never once examine the demand? At some point the man who consumes it & the man who condemns it have to realize that they’re the same man. p.s. — I’m not promoting or endorsing sex work. In gun safety, you’re taught to treat every gun as if it’s loaded until you’re certain it’s not. Good men want you to treat other men with the same caution. I’ve never known a good man who wasn’t enraged by women being raped, abused, and murdered. Good men don’t want you to stay quiet about bad men. The men who truly care about you want you to be cautious. They don’t want you to assume every man is safe and they definitely don’t want you giving the benefit of the doubt to men you don’t know. The men who have a problem with this are not men who have ever been entrusted with the care of a woman, and that tells you everything you need to know.
