@em_Lazzy Legit point. And they're not *afraid* of investing in - say, infrastructure - to actually *benefit* average citizens 😉

kim kardashian failing the bar exam so many times that she gives up on being a lawyer is making me realize the american bar association might just be one of like three remaining institutions in the us that won't just roll over and give the exorbitantly wealthy whatever they want

TERMINAL ENSHITIFICATION
@jowrotethis Absolutely. We're in the end stages of the empire. Everything is just designed to extract value, not provide it. Enshitification is real

@luvblessingz That asshole *knows* we all paid into it, and that it is *not* an "entitlement". Fucking ghoul.

@ick_real Are you kidding? It's a blessing. I was fortunate to work for many years with a group of super smart people. I learned a lot - and knowing how smart (and yet still fallible) they were, I enjoyed occaisionally holding my own amongst them - and teaching *them* a thing or 2 😉

My husband says I'm remembering it wrong. But I swear back in High School we had a class called "HOME ROOM" Where they checked attendance just to make sure you showed up. Anyone else remember

@parametricarch In my teens my father - a commercial artist in the sign industry - had a table-top drafting table at home. He allowed me to use it (as long as I left it clean, after). I used it to create hand-drawn circuit diagrams for DIY electronics, a few which I still have today 🔥🔥🔥

📐 Architect’s Drawing Table – 1930s by Nestler, Germany Before screens, there were tables like this, built for architects who designed by hand, line by line. This vintage drafting table features a high-quality cast iron frame, adjustable height, a tiltable drawing surface, integrated storage for rulers, a drawer, and a built-in lamp designed to support long hours of precision work. A beautiful reminder of an era when architecture began with graphite, patience, and craftsmanship. 💬 Could you work on a table like this today? 🎥 mid_century_friends #parametricarchitecture #designhistory #architecturaltools #vintagedesign #draftingtable
