OCEAN CITY AIRCRAFT INCIDENT: At approximately 2:15 p.m., emergency responders were notified of a small aircraft incident in Assawoman Bay behind Seacrets. The aircraft, identified as a SeaRey, a two-seat, single-engine amphibious flying boat, landed on the water when what appeared to be one of its stabilizing floats (sponsons) became detached. The aircraft remained somewhat afloat, and no injuries were reported. The incident is being handled by the Maryland Natural Resources Police and the U.S. Coast Guard.
