I got a beautiful new (to me) Buffet Crampon R13 over the holidays and this weird viral thing led me to the Knoxville Symphony's audition standard for principal clarinet. And now I have a few new things to practice.

My little village council had four candidates for four available seats on the ballot today. While I could've voted for all four, I chose to vote for one. Obviously they're all getting elected, but I hope he ends up with one more vote than the others.

Yesterday a road sign of all things hit me in the feels on a shitty day.
It turns out that a state hwy I use weekly to get to rehearsal is named after Lucas Pyeatt, a Marine whose unit I joined several years after his death.
Perspective, ya know.
