Boris was arguably the most famous politician when Mayor of London yet he travelled all over London on his bicycle with NO security and on the tube where he was usually inundated for selfies. Yet Khan immediately took a bomb proof carrier flanked by a back up and then a security guard. Absolutely no need for such an expensive security team. Signs of grandeur rather than necessity!
Geoffrey Myers@geoffreyMyers1

Wonder where the bomb proof land rovers , security detail and fire power were when Boris was Mayor of London !

He can't leave his house without security. Despite credible death threats and being physically attacked on multiple occasions by morally fake, love-not-hate lefties he carries on. Already wealthy, famous and successful he could be enjoying his retirement now. He carries on because he hates what the Tories and Labour have done to our country and he is building a movement and party to reverse it. Happy birthday @Nigel_Farage! May God keep you safe ๐Ÿ™

Millions of Britons don't vote in every election - and those who do skew older and wealthier. If everyone had to vote, would it produce fairer results - or should participation always be a choice?

The difference between President Trump, his predecessors, and current western leaders, is COURAGE. He has shown the moral clarity to deal with the Islamist terror state of Iran. In stark contrast, Starmer is a moral vacuum, a weak appeaser.

@KurtSchlichter The Office of the President of the United States used to be a symbol of freedom and justice. DJT has dragged that reputation through the mud and in filling his family & friends coffers is trampling all over it. Get a President in the same mould as Carney in Canada.

The Europeans are not dealing with โ€œa man.โ€ They are dealing with the United States of America. The United States needed the most innocuous kind of cooperation from them. They denied the United States that cooperation. The implied argument is that their obligations within our alliance depend on whether they like the guy we chose as our president. โ€œSure, weโ€™re alliesโ€ฆif we approve of who you elected.โ€ Nope. We are not going to forget, and weโ€™re not going to forgive. Iโ€™m indifferent to their excuses or their rationalizations. The United States of America needed their help and not very much help. They turned us down. That changes everything. And they arenโ€™t going to like how it changes everything.
Gerard Baker@gerardtbaker

The casuistry here is remarkable. This is the simple reality: Like most Americans, most Europeans think this war is a bad idea.Their governments are being asked to take a huge risk by a man who has proved unreliable, volatile and intemperate over and over. Who would do that?

Europe panics as Trump floats ditching NATO after fake allies like France. France joins Russia and China against us, then expects eternal protection? They call it โ€œtransatlantic security.โ€ We call it welfare for weaklings who stab us in the back. No more blank checks.

@lembitopik Are you serious? The average global temperature is increasing = global warming. Global warming affects sea temperature which in turn affects the Gulf stream, jet stream and weather patterns = climate change. Climate change = hotter/colder/wetter/dryer/windier than normal.

BREAKING: ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ TRUMP: "I will absolutely leave NATO." Not a threat. Not a negotiation tactic. A statement. NATO has protected Europe for 75 years. The U.S. funds 70% of it. Europe is ONE sentence away from collapse.

@BowesChay And yet it chooses aggression to promote its "power". Chooses oligarchy over democracy or a benevolent dictator. With all that inherent wealth, a benign administration could provide a safe, secure nation for its people. It could be so much better and the world so much safer.

To be honest, the biggest justification for funding NATO was always sentimental, with Europe being the cradle of Western civilization and the origin of many ancestors. But Europe has spent decades undermining that heritage, leaving only one tangible benefit, which is the use of military bases. One could debate whether that alone makes NATO worth the cost, but at least it was something real. But now theyโ€™ve taken that away as well, so there is absolutely no reason left to continue supporting NATO.
Rod D. Martin@RodDMartin

Can anyone explain what the U.S. loses by not subsidizing Europe's defense any longer? I can sure explain what Europe loses, but they are blinded by entitlement.

NATO: The US doesnโ€™t necessarily need to formally exit NATO but it should shutter its bases and bring all 100,000 troops home from Europe. The EU should enlist the thousands of military age Islamic men to defend the continent.
