@Charteddaily You missed the part that almost 8000 jobs from construction and manufacturing have gone. But why put that up when running point for National.

The number of filled jobs in New Zealand in February rose 0.1% year-on-year - the first annual increase in almost two years. Most regions in the South Island saw solid annual growth.

@TaxpayersUnion How? They will be operated by overseas companies syphoning funds back to their shareholders. Nothing for the Kiwi economy.

The 1News item that labelled Julian Batchelor a racist was clearly an example of biased reporting. The label “racist” is used this way to try and delegitimise opposition to cogovernance, but polls indicate a majority of Kiwis oppose it. 1news.co.nz/2026/03/27/opi…

This is neoliberal Twitter conspiracists Watergate hahahaha

@dpfdpf @Rockynz_1 The risk to under-18s was minimal, yet a cold, calculated decision was made to sacrifice a few for the sake of the many. What’s at issue is that Hipkins made that choice and he has repeatedly lied about it, and continues to cover it up.

@NuZillund @MurfittTauranga This was forced by Government and will happen at every council. Thinking this is just Wellington is why you people need to get off Twitter and go outside once in a while.

Andrew Little has announced that household water costs will significantly increase. Up to $6,000 per year over the next 10 years. He appears uneasy, stressing "under the law". What are your thoughts?

🗣 Free Speech Union ✊
The Courts of New Zealand have stopped posting updates on X, shifting instead to a platform with only a fraction of the reach. When government moves to platforms “for the few,” it leaves over half a million Kiwis behind. Public service means serving everyone. Sign the petition: ow.ly/K6Ek50YzuxF

@PronouncedHare @secondzeit 'Free speech oriented platform' is ridiculous. How many of those free speech loving followers were bots? How many were in NZ? Acting like this is some kind of Tiananmen Square uprising is hilarious.

I wonder if you can wrap your head around this. Not overly confident but we can give it a go maybe. A lot of the liberal turning away from X - including by your own employer - occurred in the wake of it becoming a free-speech oriented platform. Those institutions, including Stuff, preferred it as a platform that censored disfavoured views. In that way, deliberate decisions by institutions to cease using X have become seen as an indication of disapproval for free speech and in favour of controlled speech. The free speech union exists to promote free speech. I really wonder if you can surprise me here Phil.
