Recency bias aside... Cristiano Ronaldo is obviously a top 5/10 all time footballer, but anybody who ever ranked him above Messi baffles me. In his prime CR7 was an unrelenting machine, but Messi has always been an artist and a football unicorn.

@OffMetaFifa I don't care about the fact that Ronaldo is a bellend (though that obviously should count against him), Messi is just a better pure footballer. Better than anybody who has played since Maradona, and probably the best footballer of all time.

@PatchNotesFC People hate ronaldo because he's tall, good looking, arrogant and talks a bit too much 😅 If Messi had Ronaldo's personality & vice versa, Ronaldo would have 30 balon d'ors. Ronaldo's style was always going to be impacted by age but let's not forget this man did it in the prem.

@PatchNotesFC They are equal in my eyes because they embody two different aspects of footballing so completely and changed the face of football forever. Messi - the passer, dribbler, sytem type player. The ultimate barca player. Ronaldo - the skillster, athlete, mentality, speed. 1/2

@InceptionXx Until they fix the atrocity that is the defensive Ai, game will never be worth much. It's taken playing GOALS to make me realise just how much of FC is playing against the CPU, rather than the human you've matched against. And don't get me started on through ball assist!

This is the best version of new gen FC btw. Not that it’s saying anything because it’s always been absolute garbage, I thought the devs were braindead for years. There’s still a lot of gimmick dogshit that needs to be axed but attacking ai for different formation and defending is much better manually. Still a lot of work to do though. There’s still too many lingering things that just need to be changed. But if you’re not a meta abusing sheep try different formations now guys. They’ll actually do some advanced run now. Just wish this was done years ago. Shoutout to the only dev I actually trust for fc cuz the rest of you were useless for years. I don’t feel sorry at all. 10+years of straight stupidity. Let’s build off this and make it even better, there’s still too many lingering bad habits and mechanics. But I can finally score some nice advanced attacking ai plays.

Do you know what's mad.... these are obviously great cards, but it's so "meh" now, right? Due to Evo's and PS/PS+ being so superior to attributes, I'm looking at some of these cards thinking... I've got an evo better than that! During the World Cup, I'm SO motivated to play football games, and maybe it's my age kicking in here, or just the number of years I've spent playing this game - but this sort of thing just doesn't excite me nearly as much as it has done in games / worldcups of old.

When I load up FC26 I don't feel anything. When I load up @PlayGOALS I can't wait to get into a game.

@EASPORTSFC 40 missed tackles - 0 fouls committed. 61% of all passes were through balls. We gotta be documenting this stuff and demanding so much more from EA. Especially now there are games out there with a much higher skill gap, where user inputs matter more than Ai assistance.

Another screenshot showing @EASPORTSFC doing everything it can to reward lower skilled players. Won this match easily, but look at the stats, the pass map, the ground pass to through ball ratio of my opponent. This is a game designed to completely flatten any skill gap!

My goat in the club at the moment is this guy 🐐 He jinks to the left. He jinks to the right...get the ball on his left foot and it's almost certain to be a goal 🎯

@PlayGOALS I have hundreds of examples just like this. Opponent sits back, allows defensive Ai to cover for their lack of ability, and then hit two pass counter attacks to be through on goal. This is a very clear design choice by EA to increase player retention and flatten the skill gap.

If I face an opponent in @PlayGOALS who is this far off my level, the score will be something like 10-0. And the same is true when I face an opponent vastly superior to me. If you dominate the game, you dominate the scoreline. I absolutely love that!

Another aspect of why @PlayGOALS is a superior skill gapped game compared to FC is perfectly shown below. A Champs game where my opponent isn't close to my level, but is kept in the game constantly by @EASPORTSFC game design. Look at the statistics and pass map.
