@SleepyWoozie @_oFAB Lakerfan has done whole series of winning in Rec with a team of 60 overalls. ChadBenz just had a video of winning with 60 overalls. And neither of those teams had Pros. There's many examples of this.

My build has zero perimeter defense and just a high steal. In rec/Every mode I guard the ball handler and box them.
Obviously I can’t guard the Pro players with no defense.
You don’t need defense to play defense in the rec. Just IQ.

Not an insult, but this is one of the reasons why content from the comp community typically doesn't do well. It's for the 0.1% and not the 99.9%. In random rec you're guarding the other PG, so you're much better off with these kinda builds instead of a 99 mid/3 with low defense.

@_oFAB Like you acknowledge that you can't guard Pros (people on your skill level) with no defense. By the same token, casuals can't guard others on their skill level with no defense. So since most players aren't Pros and play around their skill level, they need defense on their build.

@_oFAB This is another example of something that applies to the minority and not the majority. Most players struggle on defense this year and would benefit from the higher defensive ratings. Pro players could win in the Rec with 60 overalls. The majority need good ratings.

@WestinTV Alot of different ways to make good builds this year, so it's great you have something for your playstyle. For my playstyle, being an inch shorter with worse passing and defense isn't worth it.

@WestinTV 92 perimeter and to get the playmaking caps. Alot harder to get the good caps with 91 perimeter and for my playstyle I prefer the higher challenger. Can still Max +2 for Legend Lightning Launch when needed but I like the option of having Legend Challenger.

@BADGEPLUG I'm almost positive this is a bug from the challenge system. You can challenge these calls in mycareer and get them overturned. I believe 2k accidentally added the wrong calls to online modes even though you can't challenge them.

@BearDaBeast23 This ain't it. The majority of Rec randoms will quit in the 1st half if they aren't scoring. I lock up my man early so I get an AI the rest of the game. THEN you can start causing havoc on defense and getting easy points off no dip shooting over the bot.
