I'm not disagreeing with the who, it's just that I remember everything that's happened... We did not have super majority of Democrats in the legislature until the 2000's. Feel free fact check me. I don't fear it. My point is that it slow rolled in the beginning but by the 2000's it exponentially started getting worse then by 2019-2020 is the worst, Brown trying to get us to rat reach other out and jail is over COVID. Kotek is an absolute idiot for a manager and an activist. Regardless of when it started, were both essentially right.

I'd like to add, and this part is important. The reason why we're having the big endian/little endian debate is how we're perceiving the same problem. To you Oregon is now really bad starting around 2019 with covid, and I'll concede that; covid exposed alot of the ponzi scheming going on. Where I disagree is when it actually happened. The fact is Oregon has been a poor state for a very long time, and they hid that fact by getting tons of federal dollars to paper over all the spending that was occuring. Using federal and state tax dollars for other projects to hide that fact. One example was ACA dollars meant for the state to create their own health care system which actually went to upgrading antiquated DAS systems (a federal crime)

@PnwExplorer1 Kitz was bad, but Brown was not just in steroids, but PED's of stupidity x100. But at the same time, the decline was slow rolling until the early 2000's, then as Democrats gained more and more control, by 2020, they had it all.

High-speed rail development could transform the PNW & the way we travel! That’s why I introduced legislation to invest $200 billion in a national high-speed rail network that would connect our communities along the Cascade Corridor & across the country.

@MattWalshBlog I think a day acknowledging that they're country, like ours, was built on conquest and genocide and that native populations are not seeing the fruits of the new country is a good thing.

This popped up in my feed for some reason. I had to look it up and yes it turns out that Australia literally has a “Sorry Day” where all the white Australians apologize to the “indigenous” people. How did Australia become such a weak, pathetic country? When did this happen?

Europeans, particularly Brits, love calling Americans “yanks.” Thing is, that doesn’t land unless you’re from New England. I’m from Virginia and live in Alabama. I’m far from a “yank.”

I don't like Trump and even I'm not as bat shit crazy to think he's a pedo. Protecting some yes, but guess what Oregon has a history of doing just that. Portland had at least 2 PDFs as mayor, not to mention a Governor who was a massive PDF. I guess you only like PDFs when they have a D next to them

I would like to personally thank @Real_EdDiehl, @Dudley4Oregon, @davidmedinapdx, and @BethellforGov for everything they brought to the conversation and for their help in the work ahead. I’m grateful to see Republicans from across Oregon united around the shared goal of making Oregon the best state in the nation to live, work, raise a family and get a world class education.  Working together, we will defeat Tina Kotek this November and deliver real results for Oregonians.
Real Ed Diehl@Real_EdDiehl

Yesterday, I joined fellow Republican leaders, including @ChristineDrazan, Republican nominee for Governor, @Dudley4Oregon, @davidmedinapdx, @BethellforGov (who joined virtually), other candidates, and grassroots supporters at the GOP Unity Luncheon in Salem. Following the May primary, this gathering reaffirmed our shared commitment to putting Oregon first, united in purpose and focused on delivering real solutions for our families and communities. It is important we unite to support Drazan for Governor and every other Republican candidate that won their hard-fought primary. Oregon deserves better, and with unity, we will deliver it. Thank you to everyone who attended and to the Oregon Republican Party for hosting this important event. Let’s keep the momentum going!

PacificSource pulled out as Lane County Medicaid insurer, Tina Kotek’s OR Health Authority replaced it with Trillium, forcing 96k to join Trillium. Trillium’s parent co gave Kotek’s campaign $50k two months later. OR AG (D) said in ‘22 Trillium parent co gave Kotek’s”took advantage of OR” by overcharging state for drugs, leading to $17M settlement. This is all public record thx to our exclusive reporting, which is available to all news outlets, including the O, to run for free. Full story in reply 👇

I didn't say I didn't like it. It's very poignant. I'm just saying that at the start you mentioned that it started in 1987 and I think where I disagree with you is on when things turned bad. Behind the scenes you had pay to play schemes with people like Kitzhaber and Kulongoski, and at no point did anyone hold them accountable. Republicans in office were conveniently asleep at the wheel. Meanwhile as a kid, my friend's conservative neighbors were taking names and keeping score. Kitzhaber gave a sweetheart deal to his girlfriend and spent millions to reduce speed limits in the state. Kulongoski knew about Goldschmidt's skeletons, then you had the BETC being a boondoggle, and pension issues (ticking timebomb). They raised taxes plenty of times from 87 to today, and obfuscated costs. Your article while correct, glosses over that they've looted the state's treasury to enrich their donors while avoiding accountability. The dominos were put in place by placing favorable judges in key places to ensure they'd get the rulings they wanted. So you may argue that it turned bad around covid, but to me Oregon has been in trouble since I was a kid. It's simply become bad enough that people cannot ignore it now

Different matter... 1987 was things were still good I'm Oregon, but we have to see how much it has changed from then to now with Tina Kotek in government for the last 20 years, Kitzhaber, then brown, and then Kotek... Our was attend then things actually started to take place, but things took a drastic turn on 2020 with COVID. So... I'm 57 and an Oregon Native. I get you may not have liked how I wrote, but you are free to write your own or to choose the lesser known right and not read what I said.

@GarandThumb1 It's weird because some youtube channels will get a strike for even showing a gun for a brief second. Others will do a full video shooting a gun and be fine. There's channels I subscribe to and NEVER get a notification

“guntube is dead! “guntube is doing great!” Just depends on how long you’ve been in the industry. We had a explosion of converts during covid with people loving it. But with time comes lots of awesome curated knowledge. Youtube as a whole platform has seen a massive decrease in views compared to covid times. Short form content is exploding. Most short form platforms are extremely hostile to guns. Stay in this industry long enough and you’ll watch the pendulum swing from long form to short form. In any case, encourage content because more exposure is better and has gotten us to where we are

The Americans who can't imagine life without AC, don't they have jobs outside? Or in factories? Is this the same Americans who propose America re-industrialize and bring back manufacturing? There is no AC in manufacturing.

@oldishbird1 @Devon_Eriksen_ Dear Europoors, we too have buildings made of brick and mortar and they have central air. It's no wonder you kept losing wars, you feint at the thought of installing central air for the few months that it's too hot or cold

@Devon_Eriksen_ Dear Americans Europe isn’t a single country. Many homes in Southern Europe have air conditioning because it’s hot there. Most in Northern Europe don’t because it’s not - even in Summer. Our buildings are older and built of masonry so retrofitting is more expensive.

Dear Europeans: Yes, we understand that central air is hard to build into old homes. Yes, we also understand that your windows are a bit different. But here's the part that confuses us. Why do you have to buy window A/C designed for American windows? Why can't Europeans, living in Europe, design A/C units to fit European windows, for other Europeans, who live in Europe? Yes, Willis Haviland Carrier was an American, but he solved this problem in 1902. You have had over one hundred years to adapt his work to a slightly different aperture. Do you not build things anymore? Are there some regulations preventing you? Will your neighbors just relentlessly shame you for having air conditioning? Seriously, unsarcastically, what the hell is the obstacle, here?
Alyse@mrs_alyse

"Who told the idiot Americans we can't open our windows?" You did. You said your windows don't open to accommodate ac units. Others posted actual regs saying they can't fully open, or bars have to be installed, reno projects are hard to get approved, etc.
