I had to do a double take when I read this. I was like WTH. Then I realized the president was using metaphorical language, not literal.
The point was that the current regime, the power structure, and the ideology behind it could come to an end. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong. I don't like the verbiage at all and don't like having to break down political talk. Now we wait.
