Iran just plotted to assassinate President Trump and his daughter.
In March of 2026, 3 months ago, a Muslim named Asif Merchant was convicted by a federal jury for being hired by Iran’s regime and the IRGC to assassinate President Trump.
That is the definition of attacking the US mainland.
Merchant admitted at trial that the IRGC sent him to the United States to arrange for political assassinations and steal documents, but law enforcement foiled the plot before any attack could be carried out. Merchant arrived in the United States in April of 2024, and met with purported hitmen in June of 2024. He was going to assassinate Trump before the election.

A ceasefire is now in effect in southern Lebanon after weeks of escalating violence and the overnight reporting of four Israeli soldiers being killed.
The agreement was reportedly brokered by Qatar, the United States, and with help from Iran.
