Midway through Fahrenheit 451, we learn that the U. S. government has launched a series of unprovoked wars against smaller countries, just because it can, while the population is so hypnotized by amusements & devices that hardly anyone knows the wars are taking place.

@VeryBrexitProbs "Hijacked our history" yeah right. Maybe Britain should have made better movies blowing their own horns? Or made up better fake history to make movies about. Don't blame Hollywood for promoting USA.

Ever wonder why so many Americans think they won WW2 alone? Hollywood spent 80 years telling them they did. Real history rewritten as American victories: The Great Escape - 76 men escaped. British, Commonwealth, Polish, Norwegian, Dutch. Zero Americans. Steve McQueen character fiction. U-571 - Royal Navy captured Enigma. Zero American involvement. Objective Burma - British campaign. Hollywood made it American and gave it to Errol Flynn. Pulled from UK cinemas in disgust. Bridge on the River Kwai - British characters rewritten as American. Sahara - British 8th Army’s war. Bogart takes charge. Saving Private Ryan - British landing craft crews replaced with Americans. Battle of the Bulge - British erased entirely. Eisenhower held a press conference to denounce it. Heroes of Telemark - Norwegian operation. Cast Kirk Douglas. Hollywood hijacked our history and now we’re all paying the price.

MAGA calls Europe freeloaders. Here’s what they’re not telling you. 1. Ramstein Air Base, the most important US military hub outside America, is built on German land provided rent-free, with Germany contributing hundreds of millions to its upkeep. The US couldn’t replace it anywhere in the world. 2. Every US military operation in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia flows through Ramstein. Lose it and US power projection in the Eastern Hemisphere is crippled. 3. The UK provides and maintains RAF Lakenheath used almost entirely by the US Air Force. Italy provides Aviano. Greece provides Souda Bay. Turkey provides Incirlik. European land. European infrastructure. American operations. 4. The US Sixth Fleet depends entirely on European ports for fuel and supplies. Souda Bay, Naples, 11 Greek ports. Without them the Sixth Fleet cannot operate in the Mediterranean or project power into the Middle East. 5. The majority of NATO’s intelligence and surveillance capacity is hosted on European soil and fed directly to the CIA, NSA and Pentagon. 6. Early warning radar at Fylingdales, UK. Missile tracking in Greenland. Norwegian monitoring stations near Russia. All dependent on European goodwill. 7. It would cost America MORE to bring the troops home than keep them here. European hosts subsidise roughly a third of all basing costs. 8. Europe is America’s largest arms customer. Stop buying American and part of their defence industry goes bankrupt. 9. The bases aren’t charity. They’re America using European soil, European money and European goodwill to project power across the world. 10. We’re not the freeloaders.

This is how propaganda works in the United States 👇 Fox News proclaims a “Miracle in the Mountains” Hegseth claimed: “An Easter miracle where a solider emerged from a cave on the 3rd day” The reality? There is ZERO chance the US military would send 155 aircraft deep into Iranian territory to rescue one man. The US failed a secret mission to steal Iran’s uranium and now have to launch a PR campaign to make sure the American public not realize that Iran took out many US military aircraft and despite 6 weeks of war, the Strait of Hormuz is still closed

@kur_fewOracle @arsenalbabe_ Says someone who clearly knows nothing. Henri won 2 league titles & 3 FA Cups, was an Invincible & league top scorer for 4 of 8 seasons at Arsenal. Won plenty elsewhere, including a World Cup, European Championship & Champions League. Even Arsenal haters rate Henri you saddo.

It’s fascinating how many Reform/Restore voters think education is something to be avoided and shunned. Cults fear education because it promotes independent critical thinking, rational skepticism, and exposure to outside viewpoints, which threaten their control, dogma, and insular structure. Education empowers members to question authority and recognize indoctrination, often leading to deconversion and the dismantling of the cult’s influence

During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln said he was less concerned about whether God was on our side than “whether we are on God’s side”. The Secretary of Defense’s shameless use of Jesus to defend this war is grotesque. nytimes.com/2026/04/06/us/…

Trump: “The mission involved 155 aircraft including 4 bombers, 64 fighters, 48 refueling tankers, 13 rescue aircraft and more.” You don’t use this many aircraft for a “rescue” mission. This was a botched invasion to steal the uranium that Iran stopped. Americans are so gullible.

@scotlandscoeff1 Would add, for those saying to just rent a car, besides the parking issues, I remember when 2 guys from the UK got shot & killed 1 mile from the interstate when their GPS led them down a wrong turn. Non-locals, big city, driving isn't an easy option.

For the brainiacs advising that they host NFL games here, and so we should all just stop being cheap and hire a car or go early and tailgate. 1.) Tailgating is banned 2.) FIFA have reduced car parking spaces by 75% Do that for your NFL games and report back how it turns out

The '530 page book of lies' also known as the '2026 World Cup Bid Document' stated that America would prioritise public transport over private vehicle use. Calling a stadium "Boston stadium" but the stadium is actually a totally inaccessible 25 miles away is like Scotland hosting a tournament at the "Glasgow Stadium" - when the game's actually at Rugby Park in Kilmarnock. To then quadruple the price of trains - which can only take 20,000 people - and charge $175 for a car parking space is an absolute abomination. There are only 5,000 car parking spots. Even if every car has 3 people in it, that still leaves nearly 30,000 fans attempting to get to the game by bus? This is going to be fucking carnage. Folk paying $1,000 for a ticket and missing the game is an absolute certainty. Tickets which by the way the 2026 bid book stated would range from $21-$323. At Euro 2028 there will be fans that get match tickets to ALL THREE of Scotland's group games, their train travel to every game, food and drink at all 3 games - and still have a good bit of change from the $175 car parking charge in "Boston".

NEW: MBTA confirm $80 return ticket Boston to Gillette Stadium during World Cup, after @TheAthleticFC first reported it would be over $75. Quadruple the usual price for NFL games. No concessions for kids, over-60s or passengers with accessibility needs nytimes.com/athletic/71501…

@Neil_Bloch @scotlandscoeff1 Issue is, it isn't like Pats games, though. Would you still go to 10 games if there were only 5000 spaces, tailgating banned & spaces 175 dollars a pop? And train prices hiked up (plus transit system will be overloaded given parking issues)? Fans would be legitimately up in arms.

@scotlandscoeff1 The stadium is full for every NFL game it hosts and many concerts. It has the same number of parking spaces and public transit options for them. It’s a hassle to go the games, but not “fucking carnage”. Die hard Pats fans attend ~10 Foxboro games a year.

History of the world according to MAGA In the beginning, God created America. 1492 - Italian-American Columbus discovers America. 1776 - American farmers defeat the entire British Empire alone. (The French were just on holiday.) 1918 - America single-handedly wins WW1. Arriving 3 years late counts. 1945 - America single-handedly wins WW2. Arriving 2.5 years late still counts. 1954 - America wins the Korean War. Alone. 1975 - America could have won Vietnam. Decided not to bother. 1991 - America wins Gulf War. 35-nation coalition was just there for the photos. 2001 - America wins Afghanistan alone. For 20 years. Then Biden. 2016 - Trump elected. Russia not mentioned. 2020 - Trump loses. Fraud. Obviously. 2024 - Trump wins. Landslide. Very different. 2025 - America generously threatens to invade Canada. Tariffs the entire world. Europe ungrateful. 2026 - America offer to liberate Greenland and closes the world’s most important waterway to demonstrate strategic genius. Europe refuses to fix it. Ungrateful freeloaders.

The absolute worst thing you can do to stop a child reading is by insisting they read books you approve of or feel are impressive. You must first learn curiosity and joy in reading to pick it up as an attainable habit. Stop shoving Shakespeare in front of five year olds
