At #WebSummit Qatar, I shared my perspective on the ongoing AI vs. human jobs debate. The @TechCrunch article covering our panel captures part of that discussion. In summary, here’s how I see it: 1. AI replaces tasks, not entire roles. 2. AI increases productivity — which creates more capacity, more output, and ultimately more work to be done by the same number of people. The real transformation is not about job elimination. It’s about job redesign. In customer service, we’re actively automating large parts of the workflow through AI agents — and seeing roles evolve as a result: • Some human agents evolve into AI supervisors — guiding, monitoring, and approving sensitive actions. • Others focus on relationship & trust building with customers and prospects, areas where AI will not be able to replace (at least not soon) AI doesn’t remove humans from the loop. It changes the level at which they operate. I believe companies that win will not be those asking, “How many people can AI replace?” They will be the ones asking, “How much more value can each person create with AI?” This is not a headcount reduction story. Pre summer 2025: I took amazing detailed notes on every call Summer 2025: Found @meetgranola and it changed my life; I could be fully present and still record accurate queryable meeting notes effortlessly January 2026: Granola goes through a total rebrand and update, it starts glitching, only records 60% of the time… the tool I have now become reliant on lets me down time and time again. February 2026: currently taking notes by hand again… looking for a new solution @firefliesai, @otter_ai , @ReadAI_ , where should I go?

@ReadAI_ i need to get meeting notes that were shared with me. the link infinitely loads in a loop, and sign in times out with both google linked accounts, and i cant create a new account at all via email sign up. any idea on eta?

@Scobleizer I was using @read_ai in a previous life. The transcription capability was far better than the the Microsoft Copilot service in Teams (sorry, just is). The cool part was it was this far ahead over 3 years ago.

I have a dream I was about to leave my friend’s house at 1 a.m. after taking care of him after his knee surgery. Something you have to look forward to as your friends get older. But while there I realized I had a dream. A new kind of news app has been kicking around in my head for days, but while just hanging out with Jeff that I needed to take the next step. This was a chance to test out whether the "vibe coding" tools are good enough to completely build my dream. It succeeded way beyond my dreams. Here's what I did. On the way home I opened @read_ai and started talking about my dream. Telling it everything. How it would work in the future. Who will the audience be. What they would be there to do. All sorts of things, the transcript and recording are here: app.read.ai/analytics/meet… But when I got home I opened up @qoder_ai_ide and signed in and pasted in the transcript. A few minutes later this app popped up on the screen. And it works. But then I learned some of the other things it does. It can run multiple files at same time. Does SPEC generation to execution. Works on parallel tasks while you are doing other stuff. It’s like my Tesla: it drives itself. Opens Terminal windows. Creates sandboxes. Does everything just by you talking to it. I didn't like the blue color. So I had it build me an A/B test between red and blue. It works. Deeply into the product, even though I only asked for a user interface.
