@AshleyBK7 Yes, but his Democratic colleagues routinely pass many of their bills. Jen Plumb passed 13 this winter. Last year, Stephanie Pitcher passed 14. Blouin has run 35 in the past 4 years but passed 0.

In the past 17 years, only two Utah legislators have introduced 10+ bills in a single session but passed none of them: Trevor Lee and Blouin. Whether their inability to pass bills is related to the poor judgment alleged in recent headlines is left as an exercise for the reader.

Many you have been following this “Braver Angels” controversy.
Data Republican has brilliantly done deep research, you can and should explore that on your own.
But after perusing BA’s website and materials myself, I have a far less nuanced view.
BA seeks to promote dialogue between the political right and the political left, thinking that doing so is brave, angelic and a path to harmony.
My take is that it’s like the sheep wanting to have a dialogue with the wolves.
Of course the wolves will agree. Then they eat you.
It is, IMO, a delusion to think the left is willing to compromise with the right on ANYTHING. The left wants complete dominion over the right and will settle for nothing less.
Now, of course, the BA people will assert that I am a big part of the problem with that attitude.
But I say THEY are the problem and they just don’t understand.
To support my position, just look at what the left has done to so many sectors of our society:
-Academia.
-Entertainment.
-The mass media.
-Social media (pre-Elon).
-Law enforcement in blue states.
-The courts.
-Medicine.
-etc. etc.
The left NEVER seeks compromise. They only seek absolute dominion.
It’s a pipe dream to think otherwise.

I voted to extend TPS for Haitians because I cannot, in good conscience, send people who were lawfully granted protection here, followed our laws, and built lives under our rules back to rape, murder, and chaos in a lawless Haiti. This is completely separate from amnesty or illegal immigration. Conflating the two is dangerous.

Removing TPS status for Haitians living in the United States would cost 350,000 workers their ability to work at a time when we’re already facing serious workforce shortages. I’ve heard from healthcare providers and business leaders across Nebraska, including @OmahaChamber, who are concerned about the impact this would have on patient care and our economy. I don’t see the goodness of deporting people who are here legally, working, and contributing to our country.
