@TheGhostofhogan I’ve experienced this “adjustment” selling clubs on eBay. Interesting to see it’s happening elsewhere

UPS upper management must be lagging behind in that bonus structure plan with this type of bullshit. I use Pirate Ship to ship all my club sales- boxes are 48x4x4 and NEVER weigh over 2 pds- This original package I paid $9.99 to ship- 4 days later I get an “adjustment” email saying UPS has adjusted the charges and now it’s $71.69!! They did this on a total of 3 packages in a row. What a joke. Now I have to run down credit for each one and wait 1-2 weeks for the credit. This is criminal! @UPS you suck.

@JR_HIRSHey @labgolfputters @Fully_Equipped I used multiple different LAB putters and tried the TM Spider ZT….what became unappealing to my eye was the “onset” , everyone experiences equipment differently tho

L.A.B’s most traditional looking putter yet. What do we think? I initially opted for the LINK 2.2 because I’ve been playing wide-body blades, but I’ve heard the 2.1 feels a little softer so I’m anxious to try that one soon here too.

@rossmacleodputt Agreed. Poor shots often have the feel I just completely yanked it down from the top. Even when one “feels” like they are pausing, when watching back on video , it looks like a normal sequence

If Cam Young wins a major everyone’s going to be pausing at the top of their backswing. I like it. I’m not a pauser but all my really bad shots tend to feel like my transition was bad. I like to feel a little delay. Might try the Cam Young pause 🤔

@JR_HIRSHey @Fully_Equipped @TaylorMadeGolf @GOLF_com Super popular! In an equipment world that loves to hate on the zero torque monstrosities, I’m curious how the Spiders have avoided the aesthetic angst. To my eye they aren’t the most aesthetically pleasing design, to each their own tho :)

@underwritedeez Love this. Ross Macleod encouraged me to try a thinner grip, seems like the hands meld to the grip much better than most modern chunky grips.

@PursellFarms ...my home away from home. Blessed to spend time with D.P. as he gave Steve Eubanks and I the grand tour of the 3300 acres. Any guesses of what is placed in the drawer of the night stand of each room at the Pursell Inn? You will have to click on the video to see...

@laz_versalles Love to hear it. Troy was not one of the “names” in high school Minnesota golf but he is the only one that made it on Tour, and won!! Absolute stellar example of just keep grinding and getting better.

When I was an assistant at Oak Ridge CC, Troy worked the bag room. He was a kid from Spring Lake Park & a menace in the bag room/pro shop matches. Bianchi, Wheels, Ross, Troy, Albersman, Barber, McGuire, and somehow Chad Hartman. Absolute battles. Every good club has ‘em.
Troy Merritt@TROYMERRITT_PGA

May have found out why, Laz!! Diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both hands and wrists! Tough to play when you can’t feel what your hands are doing on any shot from one foot from the hole to a full send driver! Only costing me about 3-6 strokes per round. Still battling though…

@rossmacleodputt You helped me out with correcting my too far forward ball position!!! Moving it back more neutral has helped me stop the pulled putts :)

Ball position affects so many things in your putting I often see golfers with it too far forward. Or too far back. Or I see inconsistency. This is an easy way to get it neutral (good for most golfers). Then check it regularly for consistency 👍😃

I am running a grip experiment this weekend. Trying out the Jumbo Max grips... the largest size grip they make (I *think* these are the ones Bryson uses). Very curious to see how they perform. Especially with face control. I sometimes get into a pattern of slamming the face closed and I am curious to see if the larger grip helps with that. Also curious to see if my speed changes at all with the larger grip... Will report back after I get enough shots logged!

If you’re fighting a block, take a look at your ball position. When the ball sits too far back, you’re often catching it before the clubface has had time to fully rotate. Move it a touch forward and suddenly the face has that extra split second to square naturally. Sometimes it’s not a swing overhaul… it’s a simple setup adjustment. Next week I’m hosting a brand new webinar where I’ll walk through exactly how I made such dramatic improvement in the very first year of My Swing Evolution. The breakthroughs weren’t random. They were built on sound fundamentals and a few key realizations that changed everything. The last two webinars filled up completely, so keep an eye out. I’ll post the link later today.

@MMGOLFSTUDIOS I feel this deeply, lol. 3 kids and a job, wholesale drastic changes ain’t happening…it’s managing misses, aiming my pattern, and fundamentals….the best players in the world have trouble with big changes, casuals or serious , very hard to change drastically!

If I could be 14 again I’d work to change my swing. To have 25 years to build skill from a more technically sound spot But undo 25y of ingrained patterns in the pursuit of technique that will take a lot of time to apply skillfully? There are better ways to improve now.

Your two winners from last week. Contrasting wrist and swing styles. Both have their own match ups and both work. As a coach or player, be careful of a fixed mindset as you’re doing yourself and your players a disservice. Same applies in shortgame. Have a wide knowledge pool of styles and don’t worship at one alter. 👍

@TourSwingsTommy Completely agree. Also, everyone uses the alignment stick on the ground, which is fine….but where shoulders and hips are aligned is also important, and it’s harder to get a good handle on that.

It’s strange how the further you travel in your golf journey, the more you return to, and obsess over the basics. - Alignment - Aim - Grip If you can control those, everything else becomes easier. But if you ignore them… No amount of swing changes can save you.

I talk about the variance in tour swings… “Yeah, but they’re all the same at impact.” No, they’re not. They’ve got to be pretty close because of the constraints of the club/ball/human body… but no, they are not all the same at impact.

This is interesting. I had a 7 wood in the 80’s. Rescue clubs were introduced as better than long irons in FW. Now we’re going back? Balls have changed but seems like a club selling issue.

#QUESTION: Is it worth replacing my hybrid for a 7-wood? – Jim R. Yes. Everyone should play a 7-wood. No exceptions. Seriously, do it. Here's why: bit.ly/4jEVpyV
