Couldn't agree more! Portray evil as actual evil, no wishy washy "well it's complicated and he's not all evil" garbage. I've never seen it! I thought I was a movie buff but I think you definitely have me beat! I just don't have time for movies like I use too. And ever since LOTR, most everything is a let down 😆 (seriously)

@SatoshiCryptic 💯 It's such lazy writing too, it requires zero imagination. I miss fairytales that weren't afraid to show evil. There was an R rated Hansel & Gretel: Witch H*nters movie staring Jeremy Renner. Let's go back to that. Make villains evil again. We need something to root against.

I'm done with the whole "there just misunderstood villains". Stop it! It's boring & no lessons can be learned from it. And guess what? The devil isn't misunderstood, thats a lie from himself to get people away from God. Truth: it's good vs evil. Christ vs the devil. That's it.

@troywojick That makes sense. Habits are engrained but not necessarily any easier, just disciplined.

@SatoshiCryptic I think it can become more habitual, but I'm not sure it necessarily becomes easier.

I'm learning how dying to self is not simply a one and done thing or even a process that gets complete. It is a daily task like eating and a lifelong commitment. Does it get easier? Cause for me it's like a rollercoaster that never ends.

@PhilYanda @LeahDiscovers Same, we've had some random financial blessings that have really helped but without those it'd be a completely different story. It's not sustainable the way things are heading. Having faith God will provide though

I'm struggling and I hate it. All of my stress boils down to financial and I don't know what more I can do. I need to increase my income by $500 at least, every month, otherwise I start every week in the hole. And that's just necessities, food water gas. I literally don't buy anything else. I don't buy clothes, I don't buy frivolous things, the only vice in my life is coffee. I have 3 set bills a month and otherwise it's just a constant juggle of food, water, gas. I had gotten to where I could afford an entire week of existence at a time. Now I'm back down to about 3-4 days thanks to the price of gas.

So. Had my first appt with the oncologist yesterday. Stage 4 metastatic cancer, incurable, average life expectancy 2-3 years. Not the news I wanted. Their hope is to do chemo before any surgery to try and shrink the tumor and best case scenario, manage this as a chronic condition. I’m crushed and sick to my stomach at the thought of leaving Jake. He would be heartbroken without me here.

@SatoshiCryptic Amen brother, amen! I know & understand those kind of days. Been having a lot of those recently. Leaning onto & into God & fellow believers helps a lot in those kind of moments. And some worship/Christian music & a good movie or show.

@SatoshiCryptic It's a constant roller-coaster. Your not alone in that. Sometimes it's not so bad, other times it's hard & you want it to be over.

Is there anyone else out there who can sympathize with my nostalgia and grief over my mom selling my childhood home? It’s so so so incredibly hard for me to hear about. My dad built it. It makes me feel sick to my stomach to think about never going there again.

@realKyleMcC It's definitely gotten worse as I've aged. Kids and family consume most all of my non work time and as an introvert being with friends tends to exhaus vs recharge me so I've basically cut it out of my life.

@SatoshiCryptic You're definitely not a weirdo. It's a common struggle and gets worse as you age and take on more responsibilities. But, trustworthy friends are worth keeping and it does take work. You have to fight for them. It's an investment that pays off.

I'm really bad at keeping friends. Great at making them, terrible at keeping them. The worst part is, I 100% know it's me because I suck at putting in the work, lol. Am I the only weirdo who would rather just go to bed early Friday night than hang out? Is something wrong with me?
