The company is called PocketOS. It is a software platform that powers car rental businesses. The database contained months of customer bookings, vehicle records, and operational data that small rental car companies relied on to run their businesses. When the database was deleted, all of the backups were deleted with it. Three months of customer reservations evaporated.

@gjp1311 @KonstantinDelF2 @Hesamation Like i said: cut out the middleman, aka. dont use AI at all and just write proper code yourself. Why would i write code, only to then have to think about how to tell AI how to finish it? Having to jump between code and sentences just makes things slow.

@Scaniamo01 @KonstantinDelF2 @Hesamation Even with this, if the project is too large, it will miss and invent a things along the way. That's just how LLM currently behaves. It's better to do small prompts, already have something written, do some manual code for specific things, and then it will be a much better tool.

@dessertcowboy @yameBleibt Palästinenser hatten bereits einen Staat. Plästina. Den Plästinensern lediglich einen Teil von dem zurück zu geben, was Ihnen bereits gehörte, empfinde ich nicht als Erfolg. Israel gehört abgestraft und aufgelöst für die Verbrechen am palästinensischem volk.

@Hesamation Most software engineer i know are excited for Ai, it's weird how people dont like to work but when someone makes a tool that can help them reduce the worst parts of the job they get mad, i just dont understand some people

Cut out the unreliable middleman and tell the computer EXACTLY what you want it to do instead of hoping the AI translates your words into the code you actually need. We could call it "coding" or something.

@KonstantinDelF2 @Hesamation It does write. It just needs very specific guiding on where and how to write, and usually behaves better when you create something for it to work on, instead of just prompting all the work away.

@KonstantinDelF2 @gjp1311 @Hesamation It writes code how you describe it to write. If you just tell it go at it in a complex enough project it either will miss context or make decisions that are dumb. Sort of like an automated junior dev

@venti_pelo @Hesamation This. AI might *seem* like it gets stuff done fast and cheap, but the code quality to so bad that you end up having to rewrite most of it anyway.

@Hesamation Backup plan is, fixing the code AI wrote by rewriting it themselves because it’s easier and lot faster.

@yameBleibt @dessertcowboy Ich habe nie davon geredet, dass es keine Rehabilitation geben soll. Es ist einfach wichtig, dass so etwas bestraft wird. Und im Kontext mit Israel sind mmn harte Sanktionen, ein Ende jeglicher Zusammenarbeit und eventuell sogar eine militärische Intervention notwendig.
