@StacieLlaurado@TheFigen_ And yet Ben Proud’s two World Championship GOLD medals disagree with your opinion! 0.02 secs off the SCM world record 2 weeks ago.
@chriswinedoctor I love this, it’s fuckin awesome. Madame Petrus-bot must have keys to the chais & bottle directly from barrel. Alas my personal allocation won’t be bottled by Berrouet Jnr until next May.
@jamiegoode@JancisRobinson Maybe not "increase" but certainly acidity is revealed over the course of fermentation - frequently. Especially from whole destemmed berries (as is the norm these days) with thick skins from a dry summer.
@rosscolquhoun Quite similar story: My 3rd Great Grandfather Joseph Johnston - left Bressay for Leith in 1835, former fisherman then a "customs boatman" living at Bathfield Cottages in Nth Leith per 1841 census. I make this wine in their honour!
🌳 Before my late Granny left us, she suggested that I visit one of our ancestral homes that I'd discovered. Last week I embarked on a journey to find out more about our family history that has taken me from Leith to Shetland, to lands 4,000 km away. rosscolquhoun.com/journal/2023/1…
@davidafox95 Yes, throughout the '80s, Commonwealth Games, European circuit, etc. Still swim masters but the 400IM & 200 Fly a wee bit tougher these days! Glad you enjoy the wines. Merry Christmas!
@mrblairbowman Great whisky should be a wee bit challenging imo...so:
Ledaig, Edradour/Ballechin, Longrow/Springbank, maybe Ardmore, certainly Laphroaig.
Wow just seen that Domaine Lafarge soak their baby vines in “cow dung praline” prior to planting and now I’m eyeing up our neighbours’ cows for tomorrow’s planting
