@bornposting That said, the bit where he wants to exploit Pruitt Taylor Vince's visions and convinces him to take off the charm that protects him from them is note-perfect John.

@bornposting It's a very rare case of an adaptation being so off that they might as well have made it a new character...but that new character being interesting enough that I remain onboard despite it.

for the record, i do rather like the Reeves Constantine movie. obviously, i have my gripes w/ it being so American but Reeves gives a good performance (despite, y'know, not being british) and it does look very nice. good movie, not really a good constantine adaptation but yk

Thragg got a nose bleed from Mark in the comics, but he ended up without a scratch in the show. Why?

@DucDeVinny Obviously a new child actor for Dewey would be needed, but somebody should legitimately make this. Call them Mark and Derry but otherwise have them act exactly like the Breaking Bad/Malcolm characters.

I'd watch a comedy movie with both of them having misadventures and learning a heartfelt life lesson in the end

@VincentEternal9 Ehhhhh..."first half" and "really good" are both a stretch. But yes, it started out with a lot more creative merit before being co-opted by the marketing team and becoming the poster child for event-driven garbage.

Twitter doesn’t want you to know this but the clone saga first half is actually really good and had a pretty clear direction on what it wanted to be. You can actually see in real time when they just start artificially extending the story and spinning their wheels for sales.
