@NPowellFF Someone please explain why he would be a FA. It is black and white from your rules above. He was cut. Everything is in the words "they cut him". If thats the rule and there aren't clauses for exceptions, there really is not an argument.

Have a fantasy league where expiring NFL contract players get put into the FA auction. Players who are released or traded do not go into the FA auction. David Njoku’s contract was set to expire but before it expired they cut him for salary cap reason. Should he be in FA auction?

@AnatoneRich I think being a sequel would be cool, but it isn't one. But not 1 clue is definative, but all of them together is enough for them. Even this musical queue isn't the first clue. The bird at the start is referencing Sephiroth's return. There are just so many vague clues throughout.

Let’s pretend for a minute that there was no OG. The talk of “defying fate and destiny” wouldn’t be seen as indicative of being a sequel. When Vader says to Luke “It’s you’re destiny” to join him, it’s not implying that they’re living in a sequel to a story we haven’t seen

People do hate ambiguity. If there were no OG, people would chalk up unanswered questions to being part 2 of an unfolding trilogy, and patiently wait. The sequel talk is a way to satisfy the dissonance between the original and this remake. Alleviation of that tension is why a lot of people feel good about that idea. Anyway, part 3 can’t get here soon enough.

@AnatoneRich But @ProfNoctis is only describing 1 reason people believe this is a sequel. But obviously there are so many differences from the OG. This musical queue here is another, it is because of all of the differences to OG and Sephiroth's "I will never be a memory" that people believe.

This is not to say disengaging can’t be the right personal choice for one’s own sanity. But “not feeding” the troll doesn’t work anymore. If you want to legitimately shift or change the conversation you have to poison the troll food.

This, and sadly, this is not something we can collectively decide to “not engage in”. Collective behavior just doesn’t work like that, otherwise we all would have done it by now. The algorithm literally tracks engagement we try to ignore…

@jnoe33 @Schrodingersba4 Yes, both are sad endings. I prefer Verso's, b/c Maelle can paint again, and he wants to be gone. But I love the artistry of us, the players, all becoming Maelle in the end. "Just a little longer", we all stayed in her world post-game to explore just a little longer.

@ShiftWorkLife @Schrodingersba4 Isn't that the point of both being sad endings? I haven't seen anyone say that Maelle was in the right they just don't want everyone in Lumiere to vanish? They got attached to the entire party, which is literally what the game director just said he wanted.
