Understand this: The movies and shows about the crucifixion have been tame when compared to what He actually went through. Even The Passion Of The Christ was forced to hold back a little in order to avoid an X rating. Crucifixion was, and still is, arguably the most excruciating death someone can experience. The night before in Gethsemane, He was sweating blood. This is known as hematidrosis. This would have caused His skin to become extremely sensitive, thus making the beatings to come even worse. The fear He felt was the beginning of His feeling the weight of our iniquities being laid on Him. Yet - in this moment, He didn’t demand that the Father take it from Him. He only asked for the cup to pass Him over if it was within the Father’s will. Up next came the Cat of Nine Tails, or a Roman Flagrum. This was a weapon with long leather “tails”, each embedded with sharp bones and metal. He was flogged 39 times as Jewish law mandated “40 minus one”, because 40 was said to kill a man. This flogging wasn’t like being punished by your father’s leather belt. Every strike tore flesh, every strike exposed muscle. Every strike exposed nerve endings. Every strike tore flesh to the bone. This would be like getting struck with razor blades over and over again, leading to hypovolemic shock from blood loss. Oh, and the crown of thorns? These weren’t rose thorns. These were thorns which were 2-3 inches long. Beaten into his skull. These thorns would have pierced his skull, tripping the trigeminal nerve, thus causing unimaginable pain and even more blood loss from the dozens of head wounds. At this point, extreme nausea and dizziness would begin to set in. What came next? Carrying the cross. Which weighed around 300lbs. This would be like carrying two full kegs on your back. Splinters and wood grating against the open flesh on His back. And He had to carry it 650 yards, or close to a half mile. Imagine carrying a log on your back after being skinned alive. Up next? He was nailed to the cross with spikes 5-7in in length. Piercing His wrists - this no doubt pierced the median nerve, causing extreme burning sensations up and down His arms. A spike was driven through his ankles - severing nerves and tendons. This would have felt like standing on broken glass every time He pushed Himself up in order to breathe. He suffered for 6 hours. His chest muscles collapsing, making every single breath a fight for life. His shoulders were dislocated, His arms stretching unnaturally long. His heart was struggling to pump blood. He was extremely dehydrated, His lips cracking. His heart more than likely literally ruptured from the stress. And on top of all of that, He had to feel a separation with the Father for a period of time in order to REALLY bear the weight of our sin. He took up this burden for ALL sin before Him, and ALL sin which came after Him. HE DID IT ALL FOR US. To free us. To defeat sin. To give us a pathway to the Kingdom. Every sin we commit is exactly why He had to do it. And the real kicker? He knew what was coming when He rode into Jerusalem … and He didn’t turn around. He kept going. For us.

I read something I'd never noticed in the Gospels today during tonight's Good Friday service. We read from Luke 23 where one of the two men who were next to Jesus was mocking Him, and the other criminal responds "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong...Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." Jesus tells the man "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise." I've heard that many times. What an incredible story of redemption, that Jesus forgave a repentant criminal. As he said himself, he deserved to die for what he had done. And yet, Jesus forgave him immediately upon his confession. And then we read from Mark 15. "And with Him they crucified two robbers, one on His right and one on His left." So there were two there with Him, including the one who repented to Him. "Those who were crucified with Him also reviled Him." Wait, does that mean that the penitent thief had been mocking Jesus too?! When I got home, I looked it up, and it turns out that it says the same thing in Matthew 27. "And the robbers who were crucified with Him also reviled Him in the same way." Not only did Jesus forgive the criminal the moment he repented, He did so right after he had been mocking Him. He forgave him moments later, after he changed his mind and repented. He truly forgives us, no matter what we've done, or even how recently we did it. We just have to believe that He died for our sins, and repent of our sins to Him. And He'll forgive you now, if you believe and repent. The criminal knew how long he had to live. But you and I don't. So don't leave for tomorrow what should be done right now. Surrender your life to Jesus. Believe that His death is sufficient to save you, and repent of your sins to Him. Thank You, Jesus, for giving Your life for our sins. A blessed Good Friday to you all.

@MulaMule300 Old Testament Judaism doesn’t exist. It was old covenant Christianity. Jesus Christ is the God of Abraham, and it was He who revealed the gospel to him in advance . In john 8 and Galatians 3 it says Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing Christ's day; he saw it and was glad.

I support Israel, but an increasing number of Americans do not. Netanyahu is a fool if he doesn’t put the smack down on these settler terrorists, not tomorrow, but TODAY.
EWTN News@EWTNews

The Latin parish priest of the last entirely Christian village in the West Bank appealed for the solidarity of Christians worldwide in the face of new attacks by “fanatical Israeli settlers” seeking to displace the local population. Father Bashar Fawadleh issued an appeal on Saturday, March 21, telling ACI Prensa, the Spanish-language sister service of EWTN News, that the lands seized this week by Israeli settlers “belonged to the people of Taybeh and were, moreover, our private property.” These incursions, he continued, in addition to constituting “a violation of international law and of the rights of the local community,” represent an affront that, for the village’s inhabitants, goes far beyond a mere legal or political matter. “This story is about the life of a Christian community that has been present in this land for more than 2,000 years,” Fawadleh said. Taybeh is the modern name of the biblical village of Ephraim, where Jesus went to rest shortly before his passion (cf. John 11:54). In addition to being the only entirely Christian village in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza, it is also renowned for its beer. In recent days, Israeli settlers have seized areas near the village’s quarry and cement factory. These encroachments have been ongoing for some time. In July 2025, settlers set fire in the area near the ruins of St. George Church, built in the historic Byzantine style and dating back to the fifth century, where the local community typically holds religious celebrations. Several vehicles were also set ablaze, and the attackers “painted hateful graffiti,” according to sources in Taybeh. Christian leaders have demanded immediate action from Israeli authorities and called upon the international community to halt the escalating violence. When asked what message he would like to send to Pope Leo XIV and to all Christians around the world, he said: “We ask not only for compassion, but for solidarity.” Fawadleh, whose mother was born in Venezuela but returned to the West Bank at the age of 16, told ACI Prensa: “As a church, our mission is to help people remain in their land, to live with dignity, and to keep the Christian presence alive in the Holy Land. Our presence here is a living testament to the roots of Christianity — where it all began.” According to the parish priest, “when the land is threatened, people become fearful.” The local community simply wants “to live in peace, with dignity, and on our own land,” he said, noting that the farmers of Taybeh are even afraid to go out to their fields. “This is a matter that concerns the entire Church. We ask for your prayers, and for your visits to the Holy Land and to the ‘living stones’ in Taybeh and throughout the Holy Land,” he said. “And your support, so that Christians may remain here through education, housing, and employment opportunities. For the Christian presence in the Holy Land is not merely a local matter,” he pointed out. “For the truth is one; it is not a matter of distorting it. Thank you; we will remain in contact and united in prayer,” the priest said. ewtnnews.com/world/middle-e…

Tennessee is considering a bill tomorrow that would put foster kids with no criminal record in prison. Similar policies have led to mass r*pe and t*rture of innocent children in prison in New Hampshire other states. You can help us kill this bill today. Tennessee (like many other states) has so many foster kids that they don't know what to do with them. Many of these kids are being taken from innocent parents, because they get federal money for every kid they take. Because of this, they want to label foster children "in need of heightened supervision" and put in prison with juvenile offenders. New Hampshire did this with the "Youth Development Center" prison. As a result, over 2000 foster kids were abused. Imagine the things that happen to people in prison. That was being done to foster kids who had committed no crime. One child, David Meehan, says he was r*ped and beaten hundreds of times by YDC staff. He recently won a $38 million lawsuit for it. We're going to stop even a single Tennessee foster child from suffering David's fate. In this thread, I'll tell you how you can help.

American Is A Breed. Today, there are many who say "American Whites are muts.” However, word "mut" has a definition, and we don't meet it. A mutt is an animal… 1) whose parents are different breeds and/or an animal, 2) with no recognized breed. For starters, I assure you, White Americans are thoroughbred. I'll give you an example of what I mean by that, and how I prove it: If you watch the Kentucky Derby or any of the distinguished Triple Crown races, you'd know the most renowned and recognizable Kentucky racehorse breed is named simply (and appropriately) "Thoroughbred." Famously, this breed goes back more than 200 years, and was bred from the Arabian, Barb, and Turkoman bloodlines. Do you know where those bloodlines are from? The Arabian comes from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, or Jordan. The Barb comes from Morocco, Libya, or Algeria. The Turkoman comes from Northern Iran, Afghanistan, or Turkmenistan. And yet, the Kentucky Thoroughbred is the ARISTOCAT of the equine world. It is the Crown Jewel of horse breeds. It is the First among horses, the standard by which all other horse breeds are judged. And yet, despite being from the Middle East and North Africa, it came by way of England when the Anglo-Saxons crossed their mares with these breeds, but it still didn't exist until they came to Kentucky. The Thoroughbred would never have existed without Kentucky. The Kentucky limestone-rich soil provides what it needs for its impressive bone density. It's rolling pastures, perfect for its conditioning. The concentration of Kentucky farms is perfect for elite breeding programs. It couldn't have been bred anywhere else. No one would dare call a Kentucky Thoroughbred a "mut" because their ancestors all come from different places. That's absurd. The breed was formalized in 1791. And if the Kentucky Thoroughbred is a breed, surely too are their owners - some of whom go back to the hills of the Kentucky commonwealth more than a century longer. Take a hillbilly from Kentucky Appalachia and their ancestors might be from Germany, or Ireland, or Wales, or England, or Norway. But it doesn't matter; they're just as much a breed as their horses. Pure-blooded. Throughbred. Americans. You can spot an American in an airport terminal in Frankfurt before he ever opens his mouth. You can recognize him crossing a plaza in Rome, shoulders squared, stride unhurried, head up, scanning the horizon like Rome belongs to him. Ask anyone who has traveled abroad and they will tell you the same thing. Foreigners claim they can identify us before we speak, by the way we walk, by the way we occupy space, by the way we lean against walls, like we are holding the building up. We speak more loudly, to symbolically show we are - in fact - the most important people in any room. Our handshake is firm, not tentative; we don't shake hands like a dead fish or with limp wrists. We look people in the eye and expect the same in return to assert our own equality. We stand straight. We speak plainly. That is not an accident. It is inheritance. It's because of breeding. We are the product of frontier stubbornness, Protestant work ethic, industrial ambition, agrarian friendliness, Christian hospitality, and constitutional audacity. We are recognised by these very things. And a people that can be recognized is a people that have become a breed. And that is why sovereignty matters. Because this country is not a blank administrative zone for foreign governments to organize influence operations inside. It is a nation with a spine, with a culture, with a recognizable face. Our breed's distinctness is not arrogance; it's cultural continuity. It is the visible residue of shared history, shared struggle, shared ideals hammered into law and defended in blood. These were not random cultural accessories. They were the load-bearing architecture of the burgeoning new breed of White American.

There's a verse I think about sometimes. Many times. "behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee." I am not sure we can fully fathom the audacity of this statement, being that it was said in the midst of a people who for thousands of years had such a reverence for God that they wouldn't even utter his true name. Yet this man from Galilee elevated himself to the position of God by saying such an incredible thing. Understandably, those who devoted their lives to the study of God through the scriptures took offense immediately. "And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?" What makes this story so incredible is that it's the apex of Christ's ministry; the revealing to men of the purpose for which he came. The story continues as the Apostle Matthew recalls the conversation, "For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?" But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house." That verse has been burned into my mind since I read it so many years ago, and it still to this day lights a fire in my heart when I read those words. What's easier, He asks. To say you are forgiven by God, or to perform an incredible miracle and heal this man before this entire crowd. But so that you know Jesus has the authority to even forgive the sins man, He performs this incredible miracle to prove it. My brothers in Christ, that is why I worship the Son of Man. No other gods have displayed such power over sickness and disease, and no other gods have even dared to claim to be able to forgive the sins of man. The amazing work of the cross, foreshadowed in this moment by the power and authority of the Son of God on display for all to see. Be blessed today my brothers, we worship the King of Kings and the name above all other names. Amen.
