The US (and Netanyahu) are the “real bad guys” for starting the war and now blockading after their own threats to Iran. That’s one coherent perspective—shared by Iranian officials, much of the Global South, progressive/Dem critics, and outlets like Al Jazeera: the strikes were unprovoked aggression (assassinating a head of state during nuclear talks), the war was escalatory regime-change theater, and the blockade is hypocritical flip-flopping that spikes global oil prices and hurts everyone

Many Americans don't know this, but the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor because of a US oil embargo (not that Imperial Japan were saints either). What the US are doing right now to Russian, Chinese & Iranian energy is playing with fire, and could very well spiral out of control.

Pakistan sent troops to Saudi Arabia as part of their pact. Now this puts Pakistan in an awkward position of enabling the US to attack Iran from Saudi Arabia with Pakistani defense cover. It is not realistic to expect Iran to just roll over and watch. Or Russia, for that matter.
