I can't fathom what the reason could be. Perhaps because it is becoming such a mess to maintain, but we may never know All we can discern is that the narrative of it being new language needing a cut-off is seemingly false as HOME has that handling by language alone already 3/3

So I am convinced that the Pokémon HOME - Z-A cut off isn't a language issue. With Pokémon that accounts on the ES-LA language that come in from GO, they're locked from being put into games without that language. And, HOME still keeps the data for the other games too. 1/?

@VersonIJC @JoeMerrick @CWP80 @SerebiiNet I think it might be because za added 1 or 2 new playable languages that are obviously not present in the older games, but this is mostly a guess

@JoeMerrick @CWP80 @SerebiiNet Good to have final confirmation of this. I am curious why they went this route, after they spent all that time and effort coming up with the regional data system to let bidirectional cross-gen transfers happen in the first place, but I suppose we'll never know.
