It depends on what you're building sha.
If you're building a "regular" app, you probably don't need microservices but if you're building an infra product, you probably do.
For example, byteship.dev has a separate microservice for transforming media and another one for delivery.

If you’re in Nigeria and your MTN data disappears faster than money in your account, you’re not crazy.
15GB weekly is now ₦6,000.
Not too long ago, that same thing was around ₦2,000.
1GB now averages around ₦575.
Everybody keeps shouting “telcos are thieves”.
But after digging through NCC reports, MTN financials, global pricing data, and industry numbers… the reality is way more uncomfortable than that.
This whole thing is deeper than people think.

The last time I talked about the freelancing culture here, I was dragged for days 😂
Since then I kept my views to myself.
The early WordPress tech bros got stuck in the freelancing loop and did not even realise it when things changed. Everything was fine as long as they got their 30k and 50k here and there for WordPress sites.
Initially you’ll make a lot of money as a freelancer, but the law of diminishing returns sets in quicker than if you had built a career.
