I don’t think Newsom has much of a shot at getting elected, I don’t know that he’ll even be the Dem nominee — he looks presidential, but he doesn’t actually come across as very likable, and of course he has a dismal track record as Governor of California.

The average conservative activist or influencer doesn’t ask “What is my role is in this long-term collective struggle?”
They ask “What maximizes my social standing right now?”
For all the talk of respecting hierarchy on the Right, the modern Right is one of the least hierarchical movements in history.
There is no unified goal, no cohesive effort, no great mass of people willing to form themselves into a single boxing glove because all of us want to be the boxer and none of us can agree on where the punches should be thrown.
The only thing that defines “the Right” is that all of us stand in opposition to Left. That’s it. And that’s just not enough to actually achieve anything.
Think about how many factions in Russia were defined by simply “not being a Bolshevik” in 1918. Monarchists, Republicans, Ukrainian secessionists, even other Socialists. They all hated each other almost as much as they hated the Bolsheviks.
Which is why all of them were ultimately destroyed.

There are 10 (maybe a dozen?) VOLAG groups. We were getting 100,000 - 125,000 refugees a year. Roughly 10% of those were helped by Jewish organizations, and the overwhelming amount were Christian organizations. I think it was mainly Catholic Charities that were helping people at the border directly with food and legal support. Secular ones even did more than the strictly Jewish.
Further, the refugee limit has been placed at 7,500, and those are mostly limited to white South Africans.
The 12,500 number is a rough approximation of all Jewish non-profits, no matter their purpose. There's something like 150,000-200,000 Christian nonprofits of various stripes.
I'm all for shutting down the overwhelming number of nonprofits in the US period. Hate HAIS et. al. all you want, but you also need to have enough contempt in your heart for numerous liberal, and even not liberal, nonprofits of other sects that are obsessed with the a tortured version of equality.
