@VibeCreAI So I actually used @RealAstropulse's retrodiffusion for the UI. He has a nice template style and then I was able to clean it up a little from there to make it work across the game. So its all ai generated but with his system its actually pixel art which is why it looks nice

@TheJohnnyStaley Thank you!!! No one has beaten the stage 10 and made to the ending scene yet...including myself loll. I didn't want to lower the difficulty yet as I died on stage 10 boss by mistake...so it's not impossible!

Anyone who’s actually tried building even a simple game jam prototype knows it’s barely about AI coding ability. It comes down to having a strong idea and good taste. Most people have neither of these, hence all these Codex game demos posts popping up. 99.9% junk

@TheJohnnyStaley @threejs @cursor_ai The sneaky bit is Object_Palette.png a 128x64 palette texture doing a lot of work, quick to edit in Photoshop. It also hides a "material mode" in alpha: ~0.9 = unlit/flat, ~0.8 = emissive boost. RGB picks the color, alpha picks how it shades.

While working on my #vibejam entry using @threejs, I realized good debug tools make AI coding tools more reliable. The best part: @cursor_ai can whip up those tools in the time it takes to make a coffee. You’re no longer guessing or trusting “bro, I implemented it, trust me.”

Installed Hermes for the first time this weekend. Is it just me or is this just way too low level for non-technical folks? OpenClaw also feels way too low level. Feels like Claude Cowork-like experiences are much better UX, wouldn’t be surprised if there’s 10x more usage there

For example, you can take assets you've already generated, and make them all match the same color palette after the fact. The palette tools I've built are some of the best in the industry, using on the fly machine learning to recolor the images, for free! 😎

Finally getting some of my image processing tools built into the site. Simple stuff like color swapping, background removal, resizing, all that. Also going to finally have outpainting and inpainting. This feature has been needed for a while but it kept getting pushed back :)
