Another moronic take. Do black people have any idea how self defense actually works? Based on everything I’ve seen over the years I’m pretty sure they don’t.
Ok, here it is.
The 1st and ONLY physical violence that came out of this situation was when the black woman shot the white man. There was a verbal argument before that. That’s it. You can’t draw a weapon as a response to a verbal argument! EVER. That in and of itself is against the law.
You also can not use deadly force against someone for merely “walking towards you”. You need a threat of deadly physical harm or great bodily injury. He literally could have slapped her in the face and she STILL would not have been justified to shoot him.
But once again, emotions and ignorance rules the day. This was not self defense. She WILL be indicted.

HOT TAKE: The Walmart parking lot shooting looks like self-defense unless investigators have evidence the public hasn't seen. The video appears to show the woman retreating while the man keeps advancing. This looks like textbook self-defense under the law.

The Florida law is clear. Can use deadly force if a reasonable person would fear they were in danger of IMMINENT death, serious bodily injury or forcible felony. He was unarmed and not threatening her when shot.

Brandishing a firearm in a parking lot where people are walking to & from Walmart is going to difficult to sell. Also, I have not seen the entire video…why couldn’t she just get in her own vehicle and leave? Or go back inside Walmart and call the cops from there. I just feel like she had options.

We are aware of footage showing the arrest of a man after a disorder on Broad Street at 1.30am on 21 June. Officers found a group of men fighting. As the incident was dealt with, an officer was punched. One man was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.

1) She's going to jail.
2) If anyone is pointing a gun at you, don't approach them.

Bart Diguglielmo was shot by a woman after the pair got into a verbal dispute over a spot on Tuesday. The woman told deputies the shooting was in self-defense, while footage of the scene shows Diguglielmo was not armed and approached her with his hands up. Diguglielmo, a retired nurse and Desert Storm veteran, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The case will be reviewed by the State Attorney’s Office.

We must demand the immediate release of the bodycam footage from the recent unlawful arrest in Birmingham.
The handling of this incident is a blatant failure of duty, as the arresting officer targeted the white male as the aggressor despite the clear reality of the situation.
It is impossible that the officer did not see the two black males actively attacking him before charging in to make the arrest.
@BrumPolice are now requesting people stop sharing the footage.
The police have learned nothing from the death of Henry Nowak.

By following an unarmed man who was walking away from her while she had her weapon drawn, she exhibited that she was NOT in imminent fear of her life, per the Stand Your Ground law requirement.

Not from this 15 sec clip but in the full video, he stands and argues with her while she's pointing a gun at him and then advances on her as she backs away multiple times over the course of a minute before the shot. I'm not saying "good shoot" but, the guy was clearly acting irrationally.
