EndSARS started when Yahoo boys got tired of settling policemen in the SouthSouth. Even their girlfriends came out to protest. Then the protest was moved to Lagos. Yahoo boys heavily sponsored the protest. Governor Sanwo-olu came, took their request to Abuja and got their 5 for 5 request approved. Immediately he came back, they change it from EndSARS to EndBadGovt. That was when people realized the protest wasn't about SARS anymore.

The important part of this conversation is that when we think sexual crimes, we instantly think "men". But the facade of innocence that women present allow them to run under the radar. More women have normalized getting pleasured by their pets, they purchase more sex toys (which isn't a crime but does factor unbridled sexual desires), abuse young boys than it is on record. Most of these boys can't, don't, won't come out because they've been misled to believe that it is a badge of honor. A belief system reinforced by dysfunctional men who were also abused by older women. So when in the rarity we get a highly placed societal woman like Simi admit to sexual crimes against children, you bite it down as hard as you can because this is a conversation that never gets featured. Because of this facade of innocence, more children get left with women like Simi who think it is okay for them to be objects of pleasure.
