@grizzlyray @volley_app @loom @fellowapp @ZipMessage @Clarityflow I've been living under a rock lately it seems. Just saw the announcement from last month 😳 @CasJam say whaaaat?

As an avid advocate of async communication, it's painful to see @volley_app shutting down permanently on April 30. 😢 My Volley story was unusual at best. I had been using tools like @loom for years - and getting more exposure to other creative apps (such as @fellowapp and @Threads). 🔥 As I increased my involvement with a remote team that spent half the time on Zooms, I recently felt the pain of "meetings that could have been an email" on multiple occasions every day. That's where Volley emerged as the alternative communication tool that bridged IM and sync Zooms. The knight in shining armor! 🛡️ Watching Josh Little's farewell announcement had been painful for me as a user and as someone recommending the tool to other industry fellows. Yes, the value prop is getting blended along the way. That's the elephant in the room. I respect @CasJam thanks to several of his ventures that touched me during my career development journey. 🧑‍🏫 And I heavily advocate for @ZipMessage as well (in fact, I have that embedded on my contact form page.) WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram audio records or video uploads solve part of the problem, too. 🎥 But the whole premise of a designated space to lead conversations async - no calls, no interruptions, no instant messaging - is a conceptually new paradigm. It's a fine detail but a completely different philosophy. And I'm glad that Volley recommends ZipMessage - along with other tools like @voxer or Heyo. 👏 As to strategic thinking, ideation, high-level planning, brainstorming, and executing deep work... Distractions kill all of that. Meetings are for solving critical problems real-time or building closer relationships. (I'd much rather support a non-work Zoom for bonding without hidden agenda.) 🎆 So - if you're in the async boat like me, head to @ZipMessage and give it a shot. I've even interviewed with it (and gathered testimonials from clients.) And if you use a different tool now, which one is it?

Hey folks, What’s the name of the video messaging tool that you can record a short quick update/discussion and send back & forth with your team, etc? Somebody tweeted about it. Was probably top on PH. But that was like 1-2+ years ago?🤷🏻

@TheFlowAgency @ayushtweetshere Thanks Glann and Ayush! A few more notes: - If you have Looms, you can embed them directly in ZipMessage async conversations 😎 - HD video only seems to be important for some use-cases. We have many users sending video messages on Basic without issue :)

@ayushtweetshere @ZipMessage Just be aware that on the Pricing page it states that you need to be on the Premium plan to enable 1080p/HD video and for your messages to live beyond 90 days. But for $39/mo for 5 team members it's a good deal anyway.
