@Iskesullas They should tell them to shove it. They take it and get screwed. Then when they want to protest again, the government uses it to divide "They are only out for themselves".

@HMcEntee What grounds does the government have to take a single cent in carbon tax? What are the outcomes of #NetZero in #Ireland? Aside from being a lucrative income for our overlords, what are the measurables?

Paul Murphy thinks it’s finally time for the most left wing parliament in the EU to finally be left wing. We’re likely in for a rough few years folks.

@PearseDoherty What are the outcomes of Net Zero in #Ireland? What grounds do our government have to take a cent in carbon tax or implement a single regulation? What right do they have to put kids in propaganda activist climate classes?

This government clearly aren’t listening to the people. They haven’t taken the necessary action to make fuel affordable at the pumps. What they announced this evening fell far short. Working people left behind again. The solutions are there. They could have cut diesel by the maximum amount to prevent it being wiped out within days.  They could have cut petrol further.  They could have scrapped excise on home heating oil.

People have no confidence in this government. They have failed to take responsibility for a crisis that they allowed to spiral out of control. They are out of touch with the cost of living reality facing ordinary workers and families, with carers and disabled people.

They only moved because of public pressure - and even then, they fell short. The pressure must now intensify. We will bring forward our motion of no confidence in the government this week. They have to go.

Congrats to the Hungarian people on a strong turnout, and to @magyarpeterMP & Tisza on their win. As we mark 50 years of diplomatic ties and look ahead to Ireland’s EU Presidency, we’re keen to strengthen relations and support Hungary’s place in the EU.

Orban was Putin’s man in the EU, Orban left Hungary poorer than it should be, Orban was Trump’s man in the EU. sending Vance & Rubio to Budapest was a complete failure. Tonight is a good evening for Hungary , for Ukraine & Europe

Half the Irish government have never had a real job. The minister for foreign affairs was a secretary for her politician father, who killed himself, and then she got the name recognition sympathy vote. She was pushed out of the minster for justice role over clear incompetence, and then failed upwards yet again. Simon Harris is a college drop out, and somehow failed his way up to being Taoiseach for no apparent reason other than being another weak ineffectual man in Irish politics that will bend to the whim of his handlers This government needs consequences for their actions, and they face none off the hard work of Irish people paying taxes and being good “don’t rock the boat” Catholics It’s time to rock the fucking boat

This is a must read from @davidmcw “Is Ireland the worst run country in Europe?” The figures in this article are mind blowing . No accountability in the Senior echelons of Public Service. No wonder people are angry. #fuelprotests

@BrigidLaffan Looking through tinted glass, who says we must export most our produce to be prosperous for the most amount of people in the country. Maybe a smaller pie but better shared.

We have a major challenge in Ireland-90% of what we produce is exported. Our prosperity is dependent on the world beyond. Yet we frequently behave as if we are in full control. We have a localised political culture but a highly globalised economy. And we have a narrow tax base.

@paulmurphy_TD Why should #Ireland be in such a rush. Alright lets head in that direction and reduce fossil fuels but please explain what the crazy time frames, unachievable targets, tax, and regulations do. What are the projected outcomes? It won't save the world. So what does it do exactly?

These tax cuts still don't provide any certainty for people because there are no price controls. They also don't break from reliance on fossil fuels. But militant action has won concessions. A lesson that should now be acted on. thejournal.ie/fuel-package-p…

@MichealMartinTD What are the outcomes from Net Zero in #Ireland? How will it improve climate predictions? Why by 2050? Why not realistic goals aimed at 2100? What is your grounds for any carbon tax or regulation? No model seems to warrant Net Zero or activist classes for our kids.

We recognise and understand the pressures that have arisen due to rising fuel costs on all families and businesses. I am very conscious that we must support people, protect key services and make critical investments. This package is a significant response to real pressures.

@rtenews Dont take it. Long term, you will be screwed. If you ever speak out again, it will be used to divide the country. You will be painted as full of **** and out for yourselves. That possiblity has, 100%, already been spoken about behind closed doors. 🐍🐍🐍

@BrigidLaffan Anyone pro Orban is so because he has said everything we want to hear. The majority dont agree with the immigration policy, ideas being pushed on kids, Net Zero scam, rigid and continually power hungry #EU, social engineering, etc., etc.,
