Restricting access alone isn't sufficient; "active mediation," which involves ongoing, respectful, and secure communication, is the strongest guard against online grooming and bullying. So what’s the plan? Here’s the update: large-scale generators such as universities and government organisations are now core to the solution. Organised collection, customised disposal strategies, and secure procedures are in place, ensuring each device is monitored, sanitised, dismantled, reused, or securely destroyed. Because this isn’t just waste, it’s data, it’s risk, it’s opportunity. The real question is no longer “Do they have e-waste?” It’s “Are we ready to move it, safely, securely, and responsibly?” The system is here.
